What enemy teams have you made up?

Fists of the Ruby Phoenix

I'm sure people are doing it.
My kids love things like Atomic Robo and Order of the Stick so I'm tempted to do teams that are references to that.

A numeria-style team with starmetal weapons and tech priests*
A team of pirates
The all wizard team who specialize in summoning creatures
A team with negative energy healing (https://2e.aonprd.com/Ancestries.aspx?ID=23)**
A team of Hobgoblins from who are here for research from Oppark
A team of dopplegangers and changelings who are here to try to rob from people
A gunfighters/inventors from Arcadia or the Mana wastes

Probably shouldn't have too many from outside Tien?

**This is OP, so maybe the Lightkeepers, "accidentally" kill them early on. "We were just trying to help them... no idea healing was fatal to them... real tragety..."

I love the tech/gunfighters idea, will deffo be stealing that. :D
They could have a warforged/construct with them! Ooh, loving it 2x.

EDIT: Or maybe a mad scientist type who has built a kung-fu robot that learns the techniques of anyone it battles?

I was going to create a team of kung fu chefs and replace Hanna's Hundreds (or whatever they were called) with a single wizard who creates dozens of clones of himself.

There was a PC in my RotRL campaign called Grogg the Smasher, who was all about gladatorial combat, so I'd probably try to incorporate him too.

Maybe a team of elemental 'benders'; earth, air, fire and water?

How about a team of acrobatic goblins who create human pyramids/towers by climbing on top of each other?

Or an Aasimar/Tiefling duo?

I am a huge warforged fan. Having said that I think pure paizo people would be to use androids?

I might be tempted to do both? And then have them fight?

The only "trick" would be that PCs will normally desperately attempt to acquire the artifact/spell that lets them do this.
It might be interesting if this person was related somehow to the
Spoiler:
final boss in the third book. Like they were a younger alternate reality version of that person or something? (Or their apprentice). That is one challenge generic challenge of the story structure. The "hidden boss" doesn't really show up until Book 3. Having the younger, but still arrogant, version of them running around might provide some interesting fodder. It'd make the whole thing a bit more complex... what do the Lightbringers, do etc. He probably gets horribly killed after losing (since the "real" him is embarrassed.)

I think they already have a bunch of elemental call outs in the teams.

A circus themed group could be fun too. Especially if you want to do an Extinction Curse reference (if the group has played that AP).

A classic. Maybe a way to make a more generic group or encounter pop.

I asked all my players to make two characters. Then I would choose which is the best fit for the team. The second was going to be team later trying to kill them. :) It didn't work, though. Most thought one character was enough work.

Four of my players were in the Age of Ashes with me, so there will be echoes of their characters to play. Similarly I could steal most of their PFS characters.

This AP is happening in lieu of PFS on alternate weeks and their is another table going through Agents of Edgewatch. I will ask them to bring their team over for a battle royale one day.

I did build a group of dragon disciples. One ysoki barbarian, a catfolk sorcerer, a kobold summoner (playtest) and their master a forest dragon.

I too would like to see what others are bringing. :)

I've actually planned out all 31 teams.

19 teams (counting the PCs) are specified in the AP.
I may adjust some stats but will use all the official teams.

My other 13 teams:

Devotees of Golarion, a team of 5 Legendary Kinetcists (from Legendary Games). A spoof of the Planeteers.

Last of Lastwall, Team of 4 Lastwall Knights

Aldori Blades, a trio of Aldori Duelists, all built from a different class.

Goblin You Up, A team of 5. Hobgoblin leader, other 4 Goblins. Various classes but the Hobgoblin is higher level.

The Menagerie, Team of 4 Summoners, One from each Spellcasting tradition

Duality, Duo of Champions devoted to Shyka of the Eldest. A redeemer and a desecrator. Each with 3 reactions per turn.

The Dragon. Looks like a Middle aged human Monk. Actually an Adult Sky Dragon. Hao Jinn thought letting a Dragon participate was amusing.

Talons of Achaekak. Team of Red Mantis Assassins

The Leftovers. 4 Adventurers who just met and joined up for the tournament. Various classes that I just wanted to build with.

Stendahl's Magnificent Circus of Wonder and Amazement!, Team of 5, were a potential group for playing through Extinction Curse.

Moonsong, Group of 4 Tsukiyo worshippers, all either Bard or MC Bard for lots of songs.

The Assembly of the Branch. Adventuring group. Parody of Order of the Stick

Clockwork Conglomerate. Trio of Tech focused adventurers. Inventor, Gunslinger, and Alchemist.

I haven't actually made stats for all of them yet as my group won't encounter all of them.

If any of these interest you and you want stats let me know and I can stat em up.

Menagerie, Last wall, & The Dragon made me smile. :)
*yoink*

One of my players is known for over powered characters. I should organize a team of his most infamous builds >:)

One of my players came up with and built the Last of Last wall.

For the Dragon I envision it that his participation is a joke Hao Jinn is playing. If he did get 10 feathers he wouldn't actually move on. The Dragon is in on the joke though. In my game I'm even going to give the Dragon special status that he cannot be challenged by teams with fewer than 5 feathers.

Thank you for the ideas!

The two I came up with were:

The Furious Five 6 beastkin monks specializing in different styles

The Seekers A group of semi-retired Pathfinder Society agents
