Quickly, make a combination beast gun as a compromise and spoiler that.

And now all I can think of is a possible anime-esque character who shouts "Beast Combination!" as part of their power activation routine.

I believe it was said that Beast Guns are an Arcadia thing, which is what's influencing my boat. I'm here for Arcadia info first and cool guns second!

I have a character idea that works around a gunblade, but beast weapons are just so Smurfing cool... *inhales* I'll go with combination weapons, but beast weapons would be a nice consolation prize.

Combination first. Beast guns second.

Combo weapons for me, IF they switch between the two forms instead of acting as both the entire time. Otherwise Beast Guns, because making toys out of monster chunks is a key element of one of my campaign ideas, and I'd like to see it in practice from the dev's side of things.

Siege weapons get no love it seems, not even from me... :P

Here's something neat for you combination weapon enthusiasts. The Royal Armouries YouTube channel just posted a video on a Boarding Axe Carbine. One of a tiny handful of combination weapons considered effective enough to be mass issued by an actual military. Details in the video.

Feels very Mbe’ke to me.

1. beast guns *crosses finger* DRAGON DRAGOON
2. combination are good too especially long gun baronet first then pull the trigger
3. siege weapons are unlikely to be in play except hand cannons or things like a Scorpio.

Oooohhh... Please tell me that I can use that with my Dwarven Vanguard Gunslinger concept!

also has some great examples of combination weapons http://firearmshistory.blogspot.com/2010/12/combined-firearms-axes.html

So I'm super excited to use an investigator dedication with my magus. Combining one of the innovations with spell strike sounds like it could give some interesting options turn to turn. Do spell strike or someone with my special weapon/armor. What's most advantageous at this time.

Did you mean Inventor?

Yes I do. Sorry about that.

Confirmed archetypes in Guns and Gears! Not all of them, because Sayre was talking a little fast in his part, so if anyone could add any I missed I'd appreciate it.

Overwatch
Sterling Dynamo (something about fighting with special prosthetics)
Trapsmith
Trickdriver
Vehicle Mechanic
Artillerist
Beast Gunner
Bullet Dancer
Sniping Duo

Not letting me edit the post, one I missed was the Unexpected Sharpshooter.

Missed Pistol Phenom and the Spellshot Archetypes.

There was one other one I think, but I missed it.

It is the Paizo Events Discord. Try leaving and rejoining. And also try checking the #community-guidelines channel and react to the Skittermander again.

The Arcadia teases are absolutely killing me.

I was finally able to watch the panel now and damn was it good! I was already excited about the book before, even if the excitement had cooled a bit so many months after the playtest. But boy howdy am I excited now, even more so than when the book was originally announced! While there are obviously some favourites, every single subsection of the book looks like it will have something interesting in it for me.

Now I await with anticipation just how practical the Artillerist will be for day-to-day adventuring. It'll certainly be challenging to fit a ballista or catapult into a 5ft hallway, unless you have one of those nifty compact torsion systems (so basically a scorpion at that point) - and even then that's gonna be a struggle. Maybe a cannon, you know, just a small one :D. But by Dispater, I will shove down some kind of artillery round down someone's throat, even if it kills me!

It'd certainly be funny to just set up this thing in a room and point it at a door. Surprise!

-

On a more serious note again, I want to thank everyone who has worked so hard to bring us this book and all the other great works you have and will put out. Times are pretty rough for a lot of you right now - that panel alone was a very emotional and heartfelt glimpse - so I hope you will come out of this at least alright, maybe even better than before!

There was also a good amount of questions answered on the paizo events discord. Mark, Mike and Leo were great and answered basically everything thrown at them. I'm especially happy with integrated weapons and the example of an unstable option with a 'safe mode'.

I don't recall if it was said that any new spells are coming in this book, but I hope there's a "Conjure Artillery" spell or something that let's you summon a siege weapon.

The most important Discord tidbit to me was Luis seemingly implying that we’ll see the Meta-Regions of Arcadia.

I can confirm that the Deadshot Lands I mentioned during the Guns & Gears stream are the first named metaregion of Arcadia (but far from the last, if Luis, Daigle, and myself have anything to say about it!)

Seconded. I am a huge cat person, and even I would like to see more doggos.

I am now very stoked for the Vanguard Gunslinger way, it sounds like a blast (hah!) but seriously, its such a 'different' experience that it really stands out me, and I love defender characters anyway, so there's a decent shot (HAH!) I play it.

It gives me a very Mass Effect, erm, Vanguard vibe, which is very cool.

The art of the hobgoblin with prosthetics (Sterling Dynamo?) looks so happy. I love it.

It's either that, or the combination weapon called "black powder knuckle dusters". Or both!

Sterling Dynamo is an Archetype I believe.

Yay, now that backpack ballista & catapult are confirmed, it looks like the Artillerist really is compatible with the adventuring life! I wonder how those things work exactly... is it basically a "fold-up" ballista you carry as a backpack or is it an honest-to-Sarenrae back-mounted ballista. The former sounds much more likely.

But in case it is the latter - imagine an armour inventor (powerarmour!) with a (sort of) massive ballista sticking over his shoulder. That's the stuff!

The Beast Gunner archetype is going to be really fun to pair with the monster treasure rules from Battlezoo Bestiary, I bet.

Boba Ballista!

Wow, I just learned that the backpack ballista really is the second version - you wear it and it pops up from your back. I can't wait...

I can't wait for to play a blue automaton vanguard gunslinger with the sterling dynamo archtype on a quest to build new beast guns to integrate into his arm.

Is there some writeup for the pf2 stuff we got from the panel? I don't have a good webconnection right now and that would be certainly easier for me then sifting through a badly loading video
