Technology hype!

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

Fingerprint kit appeared in AP. So we can have fingerprint lock.

But wait... that's Numerian technology.

So, comment your wanting technology things here!

Forensic fingerprinting dates to the Victorian Era, which given the steampunk-y nature of G&G makes perfect sense. I think you’re getting your hopes up over nothing here, unfortunately.

It'll happen when it happens. Androids are already an available ancestry option, so the tech guide or tech content is probably not that far off.

Um... how about robot companion, like BMO.

The tech guide in PF1 was cool, but hopefully they expand a little more than just gear. Maybe adding in a few vehicles like a hovertank and some aircraft.

The more technology that gets added the easier it will be to make a Starfinder add-on. Even the G&G guns with capacities will go a long way to increasing confidence in homebrew laser weapons.

Liberty's Edge

I think Paizo will not publish things that make PF too close to SF style before very very long.

Yes I'm referring to homebrew

Should we reuse this to GnG hype, or make new one?

Dark Archive

Did anyone ever make a G&G hype thread? I can't find it.

Farnsworth is the ideal mad scientist. A zest for life and new discoveries tempered with a dash of sociopathy and delerium.

Farnsworth isn't bad but my facourite mad evil scientist is Doctor Heins Doofenschmirtz

Also good. I throw another hat in for Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka.

Dr. Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture.

Dr. Orpheus: What the hell is this thing made of?
Dr. Venture: Nothing.
Dr. Orpheus: Come on...
Dr. Venture: All right, fine, I might have used a few unorthodox parts.
Dr. Orpheus: Just tell me one...
Dr. Venture: An...orphan.
Dr. Orpheus: A what?
Dr. Venture: An orphan?
Dr. Orpheus: Did you say, "an orphan?!"
Dr. Venture: Yeah, a little...orphan boy.
Dr. Orpheus: It's powered by a forsaken child?!?
Dr. Venture: Might be, kind of. I didn't use the whole thing!

Not sure if this is to be funny, but it doesn't come off as such. That thread is about Guns & Gears specifically. This thread seems like you want to talk about some unannounced future theory crafting. Numeria and technology is probably beyond steam punk is likely far off or will be in small pieces in APs.

And staff teasing firearms, but said in gng hype.
