Just a quick rules question as it is not clear to me.
Is a Cohort counted as one of your followers? and will the ring of the ecclesiarch grant an additional cohort?

is the a Pathfinder Second Edition question?
or a first edition one?

That is definitely a 1st edition question in the wrong forum. I believe both answers should be no, but I never actually played in a 1st edition game where the Leadership feat was a thing that was actually permitted to exist, so I haven't spent that much mental energy on it.

Thread moved to 1st Edition Rules.

You have a total number of followers based on the rules under the Leadership feat. The ring doubles the number of followers attracted. One of those followers becomes your cohort.
