What do I use for the the ability scores? Like is it like 20 points like in pathfinder first ed? I'm been looking for it for a while now and I can't find anything about it. I'm sure you won't let us just roll states because people would lie. SO, I was wondering if someone can help me.
thanks in advanced

If you mean how does a starting character generate them, then it depends on your ancestry, background, and class. The game works on a system of boosts, raising scores by +2 each boost. Your ancestry will give you a few fixed boosts, usually one free one to put wherever you want as long as it isn't on a score that was already boosted, and a penalty.
Your background will give you two boosts. One of those boosts must be to the two scores listed in the background, and the other is free. Again, no doubling up.
Your class will give you a single boost, and sometimes you have an option about where it goes, like for fighter and monk.
Finally, you get four boosts you can put in any four scores you like, and, again, no doubling up.
That is the standard method. If you guys are using point buy then you want this page, which has the varient rules for ability scores.

Start of the book, read the introduction chapter it walks you through the character creation process among other things. Specifically there are elements in PF2e that look similar but are quite different and reading the chapter will help in the long run.

The standard method is walking through this: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=66
Cliffs notes: You start at 10 in each. Apply the boosts and flaws from your Ancestry, then the boosts from your Background, then your Class boost. Then 4 free boosts. In each step, each ability can have one boost. Each boost is +2, flaw is -2.
