For the past several months (may be a year now), occasionally when I try to log in I get the error message "The requested URL was not found on this server, or you do not have permission to access this area."
If I try again it usually works, although occasionally I have to try again more than once.
I did a quick search and found a couple of threads about people getting this error when trying to buy or download stuff, but this is just from trying to log in. It occurs a minority of the time and usually doesn't recur, so I don't know how to figure out what causes it.

The hack I've been told to try first is to log out, clear your cache, and log back in.
Just tried this, but since the problem is very intermittent, it will take quite a while to know whether it worked.
So far no more problems, but I just know that if I say it even seems to be fixed, it'll fry again . . . .
Okay, after 3 weeks of absence after I cleared my cache, the problem returned.
