I want an apathy demon

So people kinda often feel like "Eh Sin of Sloth isn't that bad" missing that reason why its one of seven deadly sins is that Apathy is considered form of Sloth because apathy can be interpreted as "You didn't bother to care about anyone" and such ;D

This is really long tangent to me just wanting apathy based demon :p

I think an apathy DAEMON would make more sense. Maybe representing death by despair or laziness?

Edit: don't the dretches already represent sloth? Would explain why they are the weakest (they are too lazy to try to get more powerful.)

There's room for all sorts of monsters, be it a demon based on the sin of apathy, a daemon who represents death by apathy, a devil who uses weaponized apathy to bolster the infernal bureaucracy, and so on.

As for demons alone, we specifically did NOT limit the sins to the "seven deadly sins" because we want more than seven demons in our game, and the ways humanity can be awful cannot be encapsulated by a list of seven anythings. Dretches are the sloth demons, and they're super low on the hierarchy as a result, but having a higher level demon associated with similar elements like apathy or procrastination or negligence or anything like that gives us fuel for all sorts of other monsters.

Ooh this reminded me of the RWBY episode with the Apathy, and translating that into an adventure and monster could definitely work...

There is an apathy div called bushyasta, based on an actual Zoroastrian evil spirit that prevents mortals from doing anything productive and lulls them to sleep more. She was published in the Book of the Damned. Not that strong too (CR6) but above dretch at least. I know very few people care about divs or remember them at all, but she's there if you look for sloth/apathy-themed fiends.
