My idea for the Gun Crazy Pistolero

Gunman's Bandolier
When you invest this bandolier, choose a firearm it is holstering, the weapon’s fundamental runes are replicated onto any firearm that has been holstered in the bandolier for at least a minute. (The fundamental runes are weapon potency and striking, which add an item bonus to attack rolls and extra weapon damage dice, respectively.) Any fundamental runes on the other firearms in the bandolier are suppressed.

Special:A firearm linked with the bandolier re-holsters itself when dropped.

There would also be a greater version to replicate property runes as well

The idea is so good, that Paizo already confirmed that this is one of the possible plans they are working on ^^

I prefer the version that engraves the runes straight onto the bandolier, but good shot regardless!

I thought about engraving the bandolier but

1) It copies all runes and acts like greater doubling ring making this a mid-late game item. Just too long of a wait for this style of play for me

2) Only fundamental runes till the greater version. This however means you lose a superior weapon property runes.

Might need to change special to say if the chosen weapon has the returning rune, dropped firearms re-holsters themselves. Not sure which is better/balanced.

The doubling ring argument is definitely solid. Good point.

Maybe have the weapons return after a set amount of time? This way you don't just have an infinite number of weapons at all times, but still avoid any "I bind my pistol to my vest" shenanigans. I could definitely see that as just part of the item.

Eh, they can return right away, you'll still have to reload them after all.

Whoops, of course. I had the possible auto-reload feature in mind for some reason. That was one thing they were considering and it stuck :/

Well, I'll admit that for a longer combat some kind of reload assistance might be needed there. But... hmm.

Yeah, this is really easy to make either useless or overpowered. Also probably somewhat annoying to track. Imagine if they did it per gun *shudders*. But still a cool idea for people who want the pistol brace style.

I'd want the returning to holster be only if there's a returning rune engraved

Yeah. I can't think of any good way for that to work right now. The most balanced option is probably that it auto-loads one gun per turn. Then make available some kind of speed-loading rune for people not using them, perhaps.
