Adventure paths length

Hi Guys,

I noticed that they have similar length pagewise. Which is interesting... So typical length for PF/PF2 adventure book is 100 pages, but all the SF books I saw have 68 pages exactly...

My questions is why? Are the SF adventures shorter, or more simple, like not so rich, or less complex? Did anybody else noticed that?

And for how long (like timewise) you run an adventure? Or one book of the adventure? I understand that this varies quite much, based on what the players are doing and enjoying, but would like to get an rough estimate or maybe an average if enough people respond to get an idea how many sessions we are getting...

Liberty's Edge

Looking at my 1st Starfinder game right when Dead Suns launched, each session was an average of 2 hours, 19 minutes, 23 seconds and the total playlist was a total of 2 days, 3 hours, 6 minutes, 26 seconds of playtime.

We record all of our games so it is easy to find out something like this =).

I will say that Starfinder APs do not feel shorter or less rich and complex. Generally speaking, each of the early AP volumes takes 3 4-5 hour sessions for my group. By the time we reach volumes 5 and 6, this tends to stretch out to 4 sessions per volume, as fights and story get a bit more complex by this point in the adventure.

I think that you will not find the adventure length lacking!

Hmm
