The ultimate sword nerd.
I have a feeling they are going to make black blade an archetype in the book magus comes in. Only anyone can take it.

Boy I hope so. Weapon summoning is basically the only other thing I truly want from the game at this point. Well, that and kaiju. Until then, at least i can finally use swordchucks yo.

Seems reasonable. The groundwork is there with intelligent items and relics in the GMG.

I'm figuring that will be in as well, and hopefully not limited to slashing weapons, like it was before. Magic hammers are a thing, after all, and it would sidestep the weird fallout of that archetype that whips, which aren't swords, could be made into black blades, while shortswords, which are swords, could not.
Also, I like swords.
What traits will swordchucks have?

I certainly hope so. In PF1 it got poached or mimic'd by a number of other classes and was even one of the most appealing options that tempted people to dip into Arcanist, Magus, or the other options to get access to the BB.
Opening the BB up to being more than just something that's available to non-Arcane Tradition Spellcasters can give it brand new legs that it can stretch for everyone from the Magus, Fighter, Inventor (IMAGINE A BB Weapon Innovation o.O), or Druid could take the Class Feat investment to grab the BB Dedication and get their awesome living weapon and continue to invest Class Feats to give it new functionality and perhaps even better automatic damage scaling or unique effects.
Gosh, I hope.
