So what games would you like to see get HD remasters?

Ones that come to mind for me...

Atelier Iris 1-3
Breath of Fire 3
Castlevania Symphony of The Night
Chrono Trigger
Diablo
Digital Devil Saga 1-2
Dragon Quest VIII
Final Fantasy VI
Mana Khemia 1-2
Persona
Phantasy Star IV
Valis 1-3

Liberty's Edge

Vagrant Story more than anything else. This is one of the BEST mixed action/RPG games of the golden era from the original Playstation that never got as much attention as I felt it deserved, I honestly think it just was released at a bad time and failed to have the marketing budget to really build up hype as it and came from the Square team that did all of that era FF games. Part of why I think it may not have succeeded is that is was legitimately a challenging game, very hard and also more or less required the player to actually use forethought in how they build their equipment and in some sections even grind to make it work.

Also, the original Xenogears could use a proper HD remake with anime graphics and was a pure masterstroke that I feel would be stellar. The game had a solid combat system for both the Mech and Human combat, the story was unique, engaging, and way deeper than I was able to give it credit for when I originally played it in my teenage years when it released. The fact that they created numerous sequels and prequels (Nearly all of which are AAA top-selling games) based on the lore from this game to me says that it's worth doing.

Thief. I dont hate the reboot/sequel from Edios a few years ago, but it wasn't a great return to the Thief verse. I think they wanted to make the city more like Deus Ex Human Revolution did for Prague, but it ended up having a million loading sections and just not feeling right. They also had a lot of thiefy mechanics that got repetitive. Also, a big bad that always seemed to find you even though the main character is supposed to be the ghost. The original had such a strange world that was a pleasure to explore. Also, the levels were large and had many traps, enemies, and obstacles to navigate. The Eidos version just felt small, even though I think they had the tone right.

Lords of the Realm 2. A classic that could use a little sprucing up graphically and a be a little more challenging mechanically. That soundtrack tho? Its like meditation playing that classic!

I would like a to see a Dragon Age: Origins remaster and maybe Jade Empire.

Megaman Legends, its sequel, and it's spinoff. They are such charming games that are genuinely fun and the first one slipped in right before the dual shock came on the scene. It would be great to play that with modern controls.

I believe Persona 1 had the complete version that included the Snow Queen quest. Of course, it had a lot of annoying things like needing to write down the proper monster conversation options. A mini-map would do wonders.

Liberty's Edge

Ocarina of Time.

More games that come to mind...

Shining Force 1 and 2
Shining in The Darkness

Planescape Torment remake, not just a remaster, but in a way they remade Resident Evil or Demon Souls

NEW VEGAS definitely needs a good polish-up, but Bethesda I think made a good point that they're unwilling to go back pre-SKYRIM for remasters because they'd be tempted to completely rebuild them from the ground up to make them better and more believable in scale (i.e. not have the capital of the Empire have just ~40 people in it in OBLIVION, and not have copy-pasted block building designs everywhere in FALLOUT 3), and they'd rather just put that effort into brand new games.

If Obsidian could convince Microsoft let them really polish up ALPHA PROTOCOL, that would be a good thing. That's a great game let down by its bugger release (and only somewhat fixed since then, since Sega abandoned the game on launch).

HOSTILE WATERS was an outstanding real-time tactics game with a lot of great, original ideas that haven't been seen since. It's still mostly-playable today but things like the limited draw distance are a big issue for enjoying it now.

ANACHRONOX, the first great SF RPG of the century and the progenitor of both KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC and MASS EFFECT in many key ways, deserves a ground up remake from scratch. Absolutely outstanding game, but it was pig ugly on release and time has not been kind to it.

Not a bad idea, but I think they had a huge problem in that DISHONORED basically stole a lot of their thunder and did a lot of things the THIEF reboot/prequel wanted to do but better.

Never played Skyrim, a HD remaster would be nice.

Speaking of D&D, how about an updated version of Warriors of The Eternal Sun.

It had a more-than-HD remaster a few years ago, and on PC there's plenty of graphics updates that make it look amazing compared to its original release.

I think Bethesda will hold fire on revising it for PS5/XBX though, that might be overkill, although I can see them revising FALLOUT 4 for the next gen, and I believe the console versions of FALLOUT 76 will be getting a facelift as part of their normal updating process.

That all said, GTA5 is getting its second remaster for PS5/XBX (and hopefully PC).

Now we just need a remaster for Alexia.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
I played the hell out of it on the PS2 back in the day, and was sad when it was not compatible with PS3.

The game and the sequel had a few balance issues, but they were among the best 1 or 2 player, hack and slash, adventure games of the era.

There was another similar game that had almost the same gameplay, but without the D&D branding, but I can't recall the name offhand.

It's not technically a remaster, but there is a new DARK ALLIANCE coming out this year (allegedly, although people think there's a good chance it'll be delayed to 2022). It's a four-player co-op allowing players to take on the roles of the Companions of the Hall (so some combo of Wulfgar, Drizzt, Regis, Bruenor and Catti-brie).

The only trailer they've released so far was a bit odd.

The champions of Norath games were similar and also awesome.

I have been enjoying the HD remaster of Saga Frontier and I am hoping the Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne HD remaster will get more updates/DLC.

I got the Nioh collection remastered for Playstation 5, I've never played the original games and I haven't installed the new ones yet so I couldn't tell you how awesome they are yet, but I'm guessing they're pretty sweet.
