I was thinking about the mythic sanctum and it got me pondering how do you find an invisble servant after the initial casting. The mythic sanctum is 10 20x20 foot cubes in size with 10 permanent invisible servata but this problem exists for any permanent one. How do you find it after that initial task?
Do you waste see invisi invisibility spells?
Do you wander around the likely area giving orders (it cant talk either to my knowledge) till something happens.
Do you always need to remember to tell it to return to a specific spot?
Something else?
Thoughts?

While it doesn't, specifically, say this under the mythic ability, it does say it works like Magnificent Mansion, which states:
"A staff of near-transparent servants (as many as two per caster level), liveried and obedient, wait upon all who enter. The servants function as unseen servant spells except that they are visible and can go anywhere in the mansion."
I always imagined the mythic ability was similar.

Why do you need to see it? Unseen servants are not even real creatures. They are a invisible mindless force. Since they are mindless they don’t even understand a language so you don’t really even have to talk to them. It seems to me they are extensions of your character so you can control them with a thought.
Sanctum also specifies that you get one unseen servant per tier so that overrides the Mage’s Magnificent Mansion. But I would not have a problem if a player wanted them to be semi-visible.

Hmmm I always thought . . .
An unseen servant is an invisible, mindless, shapeless force that performs simple tasks at your command
meant verbal commands not mental ones and that it had to hear them to obey them i.e. be within a reasonable distance of you.
I admit I didn't realize the mansion staff are near transparent not invisible.
I guess its just a difference in how people interpret things.

According to the Unseen Servant spell, it acts at your command (and is invisible, not "nearly transparent" unlike the army of servants in a magical mansion). IMO, to "command" something you speak aloud. The servant always seems to understand you. Perhaps the conjuration process allows it to "understand" (as a mindless creature) one of your languages.

How you command a unseen servant is not clearly defined. There are races that do not use spoken command and there are also characters that cannot speak, but can cast spells. Since the unseen servant is mindless it by definition cannot understand anything. I would say that the act of commanding is the important part. For most people giving a command is going to be done verbally, but some being may use other methods. Whatever method your character normally uses to communicate should work.
