Does Page-Bound Epiphany allow retries?

Pathfinder Society

Hi all.
In a non-PFS game and a question has come up about the spell Page-Bound Epiphany.

Does the spell allow for retries? Say a caster uses the spell to learn about a King's lineage, and learns of his children. Can the spell be used again for the same check, to try to learn more about the family tree?

4/5 ****

There are no PFS specific rules regarding said spell or retries in general.

Liberty's Edge 3/5 5/5 **** Venture-Captain, Nebraska—Omaha

This is a PFS related forum so this is not the best place to get an answer to a non-PFS game question.

If this spell was to come up in a PFS legal game, it is clearly stated that "..if you fail to succeed at a Knowledge check on the round you stop reading tghe notes, you don't gain the benefits of this spell." Also, retries on knowledge skill checks in 1e is generally not allowed.

So I would say, no to retries.

I would allow another casting of the spell to try get information about a different topic, like the family tree.

Thank you for the feedback. The spell comes from PFS material, so I figured I'd ask in a forum where members are more likely to know of it.
