a build for a atheist of the purity legion and follower of the prophecies of kalistrade?

Advice

I really like the purity legion and the prophecies of kalistrade and they seem to be both lawful neutral so i wanted to make a character who is both of them?

i was thinking of doing a monk to fill the diet, self-control aspect maybe pick some feats like godless healing to emulate the purity legion background

maybe people who are familiar with the lore could you help me build this character a class like barbarian with superstitious instinct could represent the don't touch me aspect of the prophets as well as the purity legion's resistance to divine magic

alchemist might be a option too since the prophecy's goal seem to involve a lot of gold so the turn metal into gold thing would fit

any idea that might help?

I'll be honest, making one character of both doesn't make much sense to em.

The Pure Legion is pretty much limited to the country of Rahadoum, and if a law enforcement agency of the country.

While the Kalistocrats are pretty much limited to Druma.

I have hard time imagining one person being a member of both groups. The don't technically have opposing view points as far as I can see, but I also can't see much overlap between them besides not supporting deities.

I could see it if the backstory is something like "I was raised in Druma/Rahadoum so I have all these background things going on, but as an adult (teenager?) I moved to the other country and layered these other things over the top.

But it's very much a time-sequence, with one thing being family/childhood and then putting that aside for the new, more attractive option.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I can kind of see it. Brainstorming: A Kalistocrat could hear of such an amazing opportunity in Rahadoum selling irreligious symbols (or whatever) that they move there, at least temporarily, bringing their family with them. Their kids are naturally raised as Kalistocrats, but one of the kids get so impressed by a Legionnaire's shiny armor that they sign up. Um, although legitimate opportunities to make a profit in the Pure Legion are probably scant, so that would be a very un-Kalistocrat thing to do, so they'd have to be corrupt. A corrupt Pure Legionnaire could really rake it in. Of course that's not so Lawful.

so a atheist from Rahadoum who then joined the kalistrade?

so the goal is to be lawful get lots and lots of gold then what class better to get it?

i'm really considering the alchemist because gold seems to have a strong connection to the final step of their philosophy or a monk due to the diet part

is there any good way to make a monk alchemist or alchemist monk?
