Start talking character concepts! More to come later.

Female Aasimar Magus 7 | HP: 51/51 | AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15 | F: +8*, R: +7*, W: +6* | Init: +4 | Perception: +7 | Darkvision

Hello future party members!

I was thinking of running a monk or magus in this, not sure if anyone else has any thoughts on where they wanted to go. I am flexible, but I'm playing so many divine characters that I prefer to not go that route.

Hello future Adventure Buddies

Female Aasimar Magus 7 | HP: 51/51 | AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15 | F: +8*, R: +7*, W: +6* | Init: +4 | Perception: +7 | Darkvision

Hi Drogeney! After GMing for you forever, it appears that finally get to play alongside you!

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

Hello folks!

I was planning on doing either a Scaled Fist monk or a Fractured Mind spiritualist. I've had some time to think about this.

Yeah, this should be a lot of fun. Just need to put together a character idea now. Figured I'll stay away from accidental clone since we already have a good concept for that one. Depending on how close to the standard timeline we hold I had thought at one point of using my Jessica DuMorne's daughter Hope as a PC for this campaign as it would be amusing but I don't think I'll go that route as twenty four-ish years (or more since she's three quarters elf) is a big adjustment.

Have to give this a bit of thought now. I'd thought of using Baeldwin (NPC from the Ruins of Azlant game) but I just don't think I can play that style of character very well. There are just so many character ideas that it's hard to narrow down to what sounds right other than some form of caster. Hmmm, maybe a kineticist again, the games I run them in never seem to last very long and they are a fun class with losts of variability, or maybe something I haven't played before. ARGH!! Choices will drive me mad!!!!

Some more info: 20 point-buy, 2 traits, background skills. Drawbacks allowed. Most Paizo sources are fine, ask me if you’re not sure.

Each of you will design a Sihedron Hero that will come into play later in the campaign. if any of you have played Rise of the Runelords or Shattered Star, you can use a previous PC as one of the Heroes. Or you can come up with a brand-new (old) hero. :)

And here is a player-safe article about the starting town of Roderic’s Cove.

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

We each design a Sihedron Hero?

In that case, I think I can go with my Fractured Mind as my PC. The Scaled Fist can be the hero--probably for a Rise timeline.

Hmmm, given we are in Varisia maybe it's time to do the Nintailed-Heir Sorceress I've considered for quite a while now. Real question is do i want yet another sorcerer. Could be rather fun though, especially with the ideas I have in mind for humor (all truly original I assure you...what's that GM? I stole them?!*Evil glare at the GM* Don't make me coem up there!).

Yes, each player designs a Sihedron Hero.

The campaign is assumed to take place about 10-11 years after Rise of the Runelords.

Female Aasimar Magus 7 | HP: 51/51 | AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15 | F: +8*, R: +7*, W: +6* | Init: +4 | Perception: +7 | Darkvision

@Drogeney: It's a shame you can't use Jessica's daughter, that's exactly what I was thinking you were going to do!

@Dragoncat: Alright, if you're taking monk I'll scratch that off my list.

Is someone here already taking Accidental Clone?

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

@Fioralba: Actually, I'm going to do a Fractured Mind spiritualist. The Scaled Fist monk is going to be my Sihedron Hero.

DM, would Drow be an acceptable race for a PC?

There was talk about the idea on Discord so I was leaving it be. If they decide to do it I might just go that route.

Female Aasimar Magus 7 | HP: 51/51 | AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15 | F: +8*, R: +7*, W: +6* | Init: +4 | Perception: +7 | Darkvision

I'm leaning towards a human magus. I don't know squat about them so, I may be leaning on everyone for ideas in the future.

Male Human

I have no interest in the Accidental Clone trait. I very nearly was the accidental clone in my one aborted attempt at Shattered Star, so it piqued my interest at first, but at least there your clone was full-blooded Azlanti.

I have an interesting idea for both a Rogue and a Wizard, though I am not married to any idea. Maybe I'll try to think about some interesting divine concepts.

Hmm, may go the accidental clone route with the amnesiac psychic then. Alternatively I did find out a way to run Jessica's daughter via the Time Lost trait. She could have fallen through a time vortex to her past or rapidly aged several years.

You four are the only players so nobody has claimed Accidental Clone yet. My character in the game I’m playing in is the clone. :)

Drow is an acceptable PC race without the spell resistance. :)

I can extend the timeline if you want to play the child of a previous hero.

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

Alrighty. There's a racial trait for Drow that allows me to keep my darkvision and remove the Light Blindness penalty for giving up spell resistance. Was that what you were referring to or will I need to build a character with Light Blindness?

That trait is fine.

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

Wonderful!

Thinking I'll take the Spirit-Touched campaign trait.

Male Human

So, a human magus, a clone psychic, and a drow spiritualist?

No real front-liner, but plenty of damage dealing. What is the big need in this makeup?

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

I can tweak my phantom to serve on the front-lines and I have access to Cure Wounds spells, so it's my turn to use all the CLW wands. :)

We don't have anyone who can locate traps, but that might not be a big deal...

A trap finder will come in handy.

Still very much up in the air on my character right now. I kind of like the idea of a time warped Hope, no clue what class I'd make her though.

Female Aasimar Magus 7 | HP: 51/51 | AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15 | F: +8*, R: +7*, W: +6* | Init: +4 | Perception: +7 | Darkvision

If we are damage heavy, I can switch it up and go skills or traps. My only request is not divine, I have too many of those characters at the moment.

Hmmm, starting to think strongly about running Hope DuMorne the Time Lost chaoskinetic (given how tied to the void her father Tal was). It's a shame the kineticist build that can deal with traps is only an aether kineticist or I might be able to handle that as well.

Male Human

I have no issue playing skill monkey, though I would not be investing in knowledge skills this time.

However, to me it sounds like we need divine beyond just wand usage, so I'll give it some thought.

Male Human

The idea of a Shoanti shaman is intriguing. This is the first I've really looked at shaman, so I'm going to play around with it.

I have to think of a good backstory first as well.

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

Another question: how are we doing 1st-level wealth and level-ups?

Average gp at 1st level. Half +1 HP each level up, Max at 1st.

half-elf female kineticist 9 | HP 51/89 (60/98), N/L 54, THP 0, 5 bur, 0 int buffer | AC 20 (21), TAC 15 (16), FF 16 | F +11 (12), R +10 (11), W +4 | CMB +6, CMD 22 (21) | Init +6 | Low-light vis, Darkvision 60ft; Per +13 | gravity blast +12 (13) (5d6+5+5+1d8); Neg Blast (5d6+2+1d8); Void B (10d6+10+5+1d8) DC 21 | Int Buff 1 | Burn 4/7 | Neg eng res 2 (4) & +1 (2) will vs emo & 5 (10)%+25% (EO)=35& negate crit/sneakA | Elem Over +3 atk +6 dmg; +2 con&dex; BoF +2 atk/AC

So this will be my alias for Hope. I decided to use time lost and go kineticist. Unlike Jessica Hope is not a very good girl and she has had some strange things happen to her causing her to age much faster than she should have. She remembers a big fight with her mother when she was a teen and ran away from home and somehow ended up in Riddleport where she fell in with a bad crowd. She's had to leave Riddleport in a hurry due to a disagreement and ended up in the small town of Roderic’s Cove to hide out while the heat cooled off.

I'll have more details and such tomorrow evening or Wednesday.

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

Should have my spiritualist ready by tomorrow afternoon at the latest.

Male Shoanti Shaman 6 | HP 32/51 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | CMB +4 CMD 16 | F +6 R +7 W +9 (+1 Fear, +2 death) | Init +2 Pec +5 | Effects: Good Hope | Channel 3d6 2/3

This is the alias that will be used for my Shoanti shaman.

I have the crunch basically figured out and have an outline for the backstory.

Going to be doing Audrahni's Ally trait. Will work with GM to figure out the connection.

-----

@GM For the Sihedron Heroes, what level are they? Same build parameters? Average starting gold for their level?

Note: My Sihedron Hero is going to be a higher level version of the rogue I initially played Shattered Star with. He was my first ever Pathfinder character and I'd like to revive him at least in theory.

Male Shoanti Shaman 6 | HP 32/51 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | CMB +4 CMD 16 | F +6 R +7 W +9 (+1 Fear, +2 death) | Init +2 Pec +5 | Effects: Good Hope | Channel 3d6 2/3

Oh and should the Sihedron Hero take a Shattered Star campaign trait?

You don't actually have to stat out your Sihedron Heroes if you don't want to. Their stats won't be needed for a long, long time to come! For now, a background, description and personality will suffice. :D

half-elf female kineticist 9 | HP 51/89 (60/98), N/L 54, THP 0, 5 bur, 0 int buffer | AC 20 (21), TAC 15 (16), FF 16 | F +11 (12), R +10 (11), W +4 | CMB +6, CMD 22 (21) | Init +6 | Low-light vis, Darkvision 60ft; Per +13 | gravity blast +12 (13) (5d6+5+5+1d8); Neg Blast (5d6+2+1d8); Void B (10d6+10+5+1d8) DC 21 | Int Buff 1 | Burn 4/7 | Neg eng res 2 (4) & +1 (2) will vs emo & 5 (10)%+25% (EO)=35& negate crit/sneakA | Elem Over +3 atk +6 dmg; +2 con&dex; BoF +2 atk/AC

I would imagine that they should be whatever the ending level in the appropriate campaign was, maybe a bit higher. Do we need to fully build them or is it more of a broad outline, name, race, class, gender, bio while ignoring the crunchy bits?

He beat me to it.

F

Hello all! I have been invited by Brainiac to join the game and am super excited.

So, what do people have so far?

I really love the idea of Close Allies as a campaign trait if anyone would be interested and hasn't yet decided on a trait?

I'll build around what you have already come up with.

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

I'm building a drow spiritualist--a convert to the Cult of the Redeemer Queen who's come to the surface to escape being hunted by her demon lord-worshiping family. I've currently got the Spirit-Touched trait for her.

half-elf female kineticist 9 | HP 51/89 (60/98), N/L 54, THP 0, 5 bur, 0 int buffer | AC 20 (21), TAC 15 (16), FF 16 | F +11 (12), R +10 (11), W +4 | CMB +6, CMD 22 (21) | Init +6 | Low-light vis, Darkvision 60ft; Per +13 | gravity blast +12 (13) (5d6+5+5+1d8); Neg Blast (5d6+2+1d8); Void B (10d6+10+5+1d8) DC 21 | Int Buff 1 | Burn 4/7 | Neg eng res 2 (4) & +1 (2) will vs emo & 5 (10)%+25% (EO)=35& negate crit/sneakA | Elem Over +3 atk +6 dmg; +2 con&dex; BoF +2 atk/AC

I'm running a largely ranged kineticist with the time lost trait. I'll be able to manage some sneaking and, later on, control.

Female Aasimar Magus 7 | HP: 51/51 | AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15 | F: +8*, R: +7*, W: +6* | Init: +4 | Perception: +7 | Darkvision

Hey Inara! I'm open for Close Allies, I haven't settled on one yet.

I should be able to finish crunch today, but probably not fluff.

F

Is anyone going the trap route? If not I'd be super happy to do that? The other option is tank, but Im not the best tank....

half-elf female kineticist 9 | HP 51/89 (60/98), N/L 54, THP 0, 5 bur, 0 int buffer | AC 20 (21), TAC 15 (16), FF 16 | F +11 (12), R +10 (11), W +4 | CMB +6, CMD 22 (21) | Init +6 | Low-light vis, Darkvision 60ft; Per +13 | gravity blast +12 (13) (5d6+5+5+1d8); Neg Blast (5d6+2+1d8); Void B (10d6+10+5+1d8) DC 21 | Int Buff 1 | Burn 4/7 | Neg eng res 2 (4) & +1 (2) will vs emo & 5 (10)%+25% (EO)=35& negate crit/sneakA | Elem Over +3 atk +6 dmg; +2 con&dex; BoF +2 atk/AC

Yeah, we do need someone who can deal with traps. As far as a tank goes depending on what we want to do I might be able to pick up that ability in a few levels when I get my next element choice but it hadn't been my intention.

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

I can tailor my phantom to serve as a tank.

F

Ok great, I'll go trapfindery with some skills thrown in then :D

Unchained rogue or slayer it is!

Male Shoanti Shaman 6 | HP 32/51 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | CMB +4 CMD 16 | F +6 R +7 W +9 (+1 Fear, +2 death) | Init +2 Pec +5 | Effects: Good Hope | Channel 3d6 2/3

Awesome! Welcome aboard.

GM Who Must Be Feared & Obeyed (Or At Least Bribed With Cookies)

Got the crunch down for my spiritualist. Working on background now.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Female Aasimar Magus 7 | HP: 51/51 | AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15 | F: +8*, R: +7*, W: +6* | Init: +4 | Perception: +7 | Darkvision

My crunch is done and Inara and our worked out our backgrounds together today. I have the bulk of the fluff worked out, just need to write it up.

You are not ready for these identical twin troublemakers. I apologize for shenanigans in advance...

half-elf female kineticist 9 | HP 51/89 (60/98), N/L 54, THP 0, 5 bur, 0 int buffer | AC 20 (21), TAC 15 (16), FF 16 | F +11 (12), R +10 (11), W +4 | CMB +6, CMD 22 (21) | Init +6 | Low-light vis, Darkvision 60ft; Per +13 | gravity blast +12 (13) (5d6+5+5+1d8); Neg Blast (5d6+2+1d8); Void B (10d6+10+5+1d8) DC 21 | Int Buff 1 | Burn 4/7 | Neg eng res 2 (4) & +1 (2) will vs emo & 5 (10)%+25% (EO)=35& negate crit/sneakA | Elem Over +3 atk +6 dmg; +2 con&dex; BoF +2 atk/AC

I think I have Hope pretty well finished now. Let me know what you think so far.

As a note I am not 100% on how I feel about what I've come up with so any feedback would be helpful. I may drastically revise things tomorrow but this is what I am looking at for now.

Manifest: 12/12|Female Drow Spiritualist (Fractured Mind) 9|HP: 45/63|AC: 22/14/17|Saves: +7 Fort, +6 Ref, +8 Will (+10 w/Spirit, +2 vs. enchantment, +4 vs. mind-affecting w/Spirit)|Init: +3|Perc: +14

Well, here's what I've got so far. Crunch and personality are down, but background is something I'm chipping away at.

F

I will be putting my other half of the 'shenanigan twins' together this evening and post them up on here later.
