Dread necromancer

My guess is that the concept will likely be covered by a Summoner whose eidolon is undead. Basically a 2e version of the Spiritualist's Necrologist archetype.

That does seem more likely than a full class. Was hoping for some kind of archetype for casters or even a general one for any class to move them toward more of an undead focus. There were numerous undead leaning archtypes in the past for several classes

the reason I liked Dread Necro is that it felt like a melee necromancer

Draft necro always felt like a worse cleric to me.

I viewed Dread necro like a PF1 class in 3.5. It got something at every level.
