So... I am in a certain adventure where a certain celebrity has offered me a discount on a purchase, and I am thinking... it's time for Trusty to get a vehicle! As I was looking in dealership windows, the Cherav caught my eye. It's a solid vehicle. Decent speed, hover capability, and you can take your whole party with you when you need to go take out the trash! It's one of the few vehicles out there that can transport the whole party!
My issue is that the Cherav has only appeared in a specific scenario, and Starfinder Additional Resources does not list the availability of scenario equipment. Is this vehicle truly OrgPlay legal? Archives of Nethys lists it with the Sigil of the Open Road, but I want to make certain that I am not picking up suspect goods.
Can anyone verify that I can legally drive that Cherav off the dealer room floor?

If your character has that Chronicle, you can purchase items from it with the "celebrity discount" during the Special. Or, at least, that's what the Overseer for GameDay IX ruled.
Archivesofnethys is just as valid as the Additional Resources list for determining legality, since it is Paizo's official SRD (and both have roughly the same 1% error rate).
But since Archives lists Chronicle items (like the Society subdermal implant), there should probably be a disclaimer on their site that the item is gated behind scenario access.

Personally I couldn't go past the Hovertruck.
Better cover, less AC for the vehicle though
Cherav handles like a dream, Truck handles like a brick.
The upside of a truck is that you get an expansion slot so you can notionally build a specialty vehicle, the reality is that you end up with a passenger module and run your own tour bus.
Cherav probably wins overall once sentimentality and '...but I like trucks' is taken out of the decision.

Agreed. There is no way to purchase a Cherav from a chronicle and thus no way to purchase a Cherav. I think that is the reason why I posted this. It's listed as a legal item on Archives of Nethys, but there is no way that anyone can purchase it, which makes me sad. I was hoping there was something that I missed in all this.
If you want to take the whole party with you, there are darn few vehicle options out there for the vehicle enthusiast. I kind of like Motospheres as a way of picking up other party members who have piloting, but I think you're right that the only real option to transport the entire party is the hovertruck.
So I guess that is what Trusty will use for his garbage truck.
Hmm

I've been driving my patrol car for awhile, but since quitting the force, I think I should probably buy a hovertruck and put a forensics lab in the back. As a PI, I need to be able to do independent investigations for accountability reasons; I can't keep relying on favors to use my old Steward research facility.
