A very bookish Vesk with huge oversized milspec glasses pushes them up her snout.
"Um, is that with a 1 rating Drift Drive or um, a 2 Rating? And, ah, if they're going to the mythical 'Earth' System, then that'd be in, ah, another ah, galaxy so ah, we um, don't uh... have math for ah, how long that would ah, take... right?"

Updated! Just downloaded it, and unlike rogueyeys, mine is v3.0 Year of Exploration's Edge. Now to actually read it....
First thing I looked for was:
Select your character’s race. The choices offered in Chapter 3 of the Starfinder Core Rulebook are always available, as are the Legacy races in Chapter 13. Additionally, the following races from are always available provided you own a copy of the appropriate source book: draelik, formian, ikeshti, kalo, maraquoi, nuar, rhyphorian, verthani, witchwyrd from Starfinder Alien Archive, as well as izalguun from Starfinder Alien Archive 3.

Always available nuars? This will be a dream for many of my players!
Nice to see most of the Pact World races (okay, not Dirindi or Sazurons -- maybe next season for those two) free for every player to select. We can have a truly representative Pact Worlds now!
I do love the Historical Analyst boon! It will be a happy addition to my formerly SS Roheas character who switched over to Ehu Hadif.
Hmm

There was a clarification from Thursty, at some point after the Legacy Races became always available, that if you already had a Convention Boon opening the race up, you could instead convert that Boon to a +2 to any stat 14 or lower (akin to many of the Chronicle-granted races).
I wonder if that applies to these new races as well?

I believe that any boons that previously unlocked these races already had the text in there that it could be used as +2 if you got it from another source. If anybody has evidence that they don't, let me know and I'll see what we can do.

For my Nuar boon it certainly doesn't have that text.

I also don't have that text on the following boons:
2018 GM Boon 1A - Mega Region 1 (Kalo/Verthani)
2019 GM Boon 3D - Mega Region 2 (Formian/Ghoran/Pahtra)
2019 GM Boon 3C - Mega Region 1 (Embri, Phentomite, Witchwyrd)
2019 GM Boon 1A - Mega Region 1 (Bolida, Kalo, Vlaka)
2018 GM Boon 2B - Mega Region 3 (Draelik, Witchwyrd)
Alien Archive Player Reward #1 (Ryphorian, Wrikreechee, Barathu)

Does this also apply to that one scenario that granted halfling access (and which did have the +2 text)? Would it apply if I got that boon before they became legal but didn't make a halfling until now?
