So who else here has enjoyed getting the pocket editions of 1E books?

Any plans to get Pathfinder Unchained pocket edition?

Are there any hardcover books that will not get a pocket edition?

Count me as an unabashed super fan of the Pocket Editions. I certainly hope the last few hardbacks are converted to Pocket. Heck, I'd even pick up a Pocket edition Mythic Adventures if it were ever made.

I wish some other publishers would offer the "digest" size as a POD option. I'm looking at you Dreamscarred Press (Ultimate Psionics) and Alluria Publishing (Cerulean Seas).

I love the pocket editions!
I'm holding on to hope that they do Mythic and Unchained. (I'm surprised they haven't done Unchained yet)

Mind you, I'd also like to see Inner Sea Races, Gods, and World Guide, but I understand why they might not do those three.

I love the pocket editions as well and would love to get Pathfinder Unchained pocket edition, not sure if I would get Mythic, though I might get pocket versions of the Inner Sea books.

I would love pocket editions that are compilations of the various softcover books.

Pathfinder Unchained, Mythic Adventures, Inner Sea Worlds Guide, Inner sea Races, Inner Sea Gods, and Planar Adventure are the books left that haven't gotten pocket versions, correct?

Love the Pocket Editions, though I have to use my glasses for reading them.

Plus stuff like Monster Codex and Adventurer's Guide, right?

Monster Codex is already available.

Forgot about the Adventurer's Guide.

Since I never bought Adventurer's Guide, if we get a pocket version, I will finally pick it up since it would be a lot cheaper.

I wonder if all the remaining hardcovers will get pocket versions. I wonder well the pocket version have sold.

So what pocket versions do you guys own?

I've got 'em all except the Adventure Paths and Starfinder.

I only own the Core Rulebook as a table reference, as I have the hardcovers. However, I'm thinking of adding Ultimate Equipment as well.

I also might get the Runelords pocket edition to write all over for prep. I figure it'd probably be cheaper than printing out the PDF.

My wife and I have bought several.

For older books, it gave us a way to carry more reference books to games without breaking our backs: Core Rulebook, APG, ARG, ACG, Bestiary [just #1 so far], Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat, GMG.

For books that we had not yet acquired by the time the Pocket Edition came out, we went with the Pocket Edition instead, for both the lower price and the smaller size: Ultimate Equipment, Ultimate Wilderness, Ultimate Intrigue. We're still very actively playing PF1, but I don't see us investing in anything but Pocket Editions from here on out. (Bestiary 6 is on the wish list, and probably Planar Adventures when it comes out.)

We've also bought a couple additional Core Rulebooks as gifts. One went to one of our gamer buddies with a much more restricted budgets so he could have his own legal copy. The other went to our eldest child, who active in PFS with us (and wants to try GMing for that once we no longer have to play remotely).

I plan to buy the Starfinder Core Rulebook at some point. It will be handy to have more than one rulebook in the house for 3 players, and have a smaller one for carrying to game when we no longer have to do it all remotely.

Well, they are handy and budget priced. Font is a tad too small for my taste and holding a hardcover just feels better, so I consider pockets practical, but I don't feel love. To be fair, I mostly GM online - maybe I'd change my mind if I had to carry books all the time.

Coincidentally, I bought three localized hardcovers today, for pocket price. Pocket editions themselves are still at their previous prices. Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Campaign were actually offered in both versions, for pretty much the same price - weird...

The Starfinder Core book is the only pocket edition I see on the schedule so far, so hopefully there will be more by the end of the year.

Dark Archive

I have recently returned to Pathfinder again and I love the pocket editions. I’ve picked up the CRB, Bestiary 1, Monster Codex, NPC Codex, and Ultimate Equipment so far, but I have the rest on my want list. I was amazed how legible the text still is at the smaller size. They’re so nice!

Yeah, we gotta get Pathfinder Unchained in a Pocket edition. It's seems it's an obvious 'mandatory' Pocket edition -- it replaces Classes from the Core, for cryin' out loud.

RIGHT?!?

I'm SHOCKED Paizo haven't done Unchained yet!

Perhaps it didn't sell well enough?

It's not like every book they gave a pocket edition was a good seller, I would be surprised if they don't do a pocket version of Pathfinder Unchained.

Wake me up if Strategy Guide gets pocket treatment, then.

The Core Rulebook, Bestiary I, Gamemastery Guide and Advanced Player's Guide. I would have liked the mythic books as pocket editions; I also bought the hardcover Ultimate Campaign before there was a pocket edition, otherwise I would have picked that version up.

I can't read them, even with my reading glasses. I prefer to just have PDFs stores on whatever device I carry with me, or use one of the online/APP resources.

I can read them just fine wich I am surprised I could, but I can see why some people would have problems.

Other then the Starfinder one, there doesn't appear to be anymore pocket versions. So are we no getting any more?

Any news on if we are getting any more P1e pocket versions?

I hope so!

I, for one, really want Mythic and it would be SUCH a weird choice to not print Unchained... 4 classes in there, one of which has to be used instead of the original for PFS play.

I take it that the unchained summoner is the one that you have to use for PFS play, correct?

I can understand them skipping Mythic, but I can't see them skipping Unchained.

Since my post above, we've acquired Bestiary 6 and the Starfinder Core Rulebook.

No other must-haves for us at the moment, but Unchained would be tempting if they released it, in order to add it to the satchel of P.E.'s we take to PFS...whenever we get to do that in person again.

Yes, that's right.

As for which pocket editions I own:

Advanced Player's Guide
Advanced Class Guide
Advanced Race Guide
Ultimate Combat
Ultimate Magic
Ultimate Equipment
Ultimate Campaign
Ultimate Intrigue
Ultimate Wilderness
Horror Adventures
Occult Adventures

I own

Advanced Class Guide
Advanced Players Guide
Advanced Race Guide
Bestiary 1
Core Rule Book
NPC Codex*
Occult Adventures
Ultimate Combat
Ultimate Equipment
Ultimate Magic
Ultimate Wilderness
Villain Codex*

*I don't own the hardcover version

I will be getting Ultimate Intrigue and the two AP books.

Well still no new pocket editions on the release schedule.

Well it looks like we are getting pocket editions of 2e books, so looks like we are not getting the rest of the 1e hardcover books:(

As much as I appreciate them doing pocket editions for 1E they also need to prioritize books for 2E PF.

Until we get an official response from Paizo I won’t assume the worst case scenario.

I doubt we will get an official response from Paizo.

It's been almost a year and half and still nothing.
