Can races with Darkvision see the inside of their eyelids when closing their eyes?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

just a shower thought :/

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Their brain probably edits it out like our brain does with the nose.

na, there is not a lot of difference from closing your eyes and having a blindfold or heavy blanket covering your head.
(try opening and closing your eyes while under a heavy cover youll see..or not ;)

the 'darkness' is not from lack of light but from blocking of vision. should be the same for races with darkvision.

Way too close to focus on.

The answer is like the 3rd true name of cats. It's a secret that each one knows, but will never confess :p

Yes. It's what dwarven wizards use for their spellbooks.

This spawns more questions than it answers. I was the impression that Dwarves use their toenails for everything that isn't cut from stone... cut from stone by the tools made out of their toenails.

This makes me wonder something else: can creatures which can see but have no actual eyelids (such as many undead) "turn off" their eyes to avoid looking at something? I was thinking maybe there eyes only glow when they're on.

Close your eyes and face a bright light. It's probably like that.

Like a snake closing it's retinas to sleep because it has brilles instead of eyelids...

Darkvision is in black and white, so it would probably be all black.

The real question is those with the See in Darkness universal monster ability. They would probably see their skin color which is an odd thought.
