Not really sure where to post this so apologies if this is a bad place.
I was awarded my first GM star on Paizo, but I don't think I've GMed 10 times. I will not discount the possibility I have miscounted, although I have counted once chronologically and once by characters' paper Chronicles, and they match. My count is 8.
I have a suspicion as to why it's been miscounted - there were two PbP sessions I reported through OSP that didn't seem like they went through so I reported them individually; later OSP found my submissions and reported them; I then deleted my individual submissions to remove the double counting. I hypothesize Paizo continues to count those double reported sessions.
If so, this is a programming bug on Paizo's side. I don't know how serious it is because I don't know what the stars mean - I know people get replays based on stars, not sure if it's otherwise a vanity item.
At any rate, I just wanted to point out that Paizo's counts can be fallible. And also to warn everyone not to invite me to the 1-star GM parties until later this year.

Tracking stars/glyphs/novas and improper counting continues to be a bug that results from them messing with the underlying scripts as they prepare AcP for a full launch. It basically means you cannot trust the little icons next to your name.
When I post, it shows four stars, but if I look at My Pathfinder Society page, it shows five stars and three novas. Your page might show a star, but it doesn’t populate next to your message board name so clearly there is a disconnect and one that is not consistently inaccurate.

Echoing TwilightKnight, my name shows 2 Novas, but my profile shows 3 (which I think is correct), and for a while my profile showed 4 (one AP Book counted for 24 credits until it was fixed).
The system is undergoing a change but there have been a lot of setbacks, and their tech team has been very understaffed. This last month the team needed to spend time making wfh viable, which will probably cause further delays.

To be clear, I was making an observation, not stating that is how it’s suppose to work. If everything is working properly, whatever widgets you have next to your name would be visible and the same no matter where you looked. So if there is a discrepancy then there is a problem. It’s just unlikely to be resolved anytime soon.
