Crossbolter Clarification

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

Crossbolters appear to change weapon category midway through their progression, with the initial Tactical and Dual models being longarms, while the subsequent Advanced, Elite and Paragon ones are classified as heavy weapons. Is this intentional? Just double-checking.

Can't speak to intentions, but I just confirmed that archivesofnethys matches the Core Rulebook, so it appears those designations are correct.


It's a bit unusual but I always assumed it was on purpose.
The damage is about in line with what you'd expect in both cases, at least.
