Hi there. I'm home on lockdown with lots of RPGs that I've never played. I want to change that. Anyone interested in joining me for a short, low-key PbP adventure? I'm happy to GM.

If you're interested, please give me a list of the games you've always wanted to play but never have and I'll let you know if I have them. We'll narrow it down to a half-dozen and then will vote. Sound good?

Game on!

I'd be interested. I'm open to most things, but right now I'm probably most interested in any Powered by the Apocalypse games.

(New) Alternity by Sasquatch Games

The most recent version of Shadowrun

I have a number of PbtA games including:

Dungeon World
Trophy Gold
Masks
Fellowship
Legacy: Life Among the Ruins

As for Alternity, I have the original books, but not the most recent version.

I sadly don't have any Shadowrun.

I'm gonna say Masks.

Pendragon!!! Pendragon Pendragon Pendragon!

Or Dragon age.... I'll happily take that one too...

A bit of paring down wouldn't hurt.

13th Age Glorantha is 13th Age set in the Glorantha universe. For more info: GLORANTHA

As for systems knowledge, don't worry about it.

Ok, top 3 votes:
- Dragon Age
- Fellowship
- GUMSHOE

Wow that's a lot! How many bookshelves/boxes do you need for all of those?

Yup, me too :) I never got to play it, but I love the hard sci-fi near-future setting, although system-wise I think others have done it better since then. GURPS did Transhuman Space, which I have as well.

I'm curious on what Spirit of the Century is...

Pathfinder Card Game Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Charter Superscriber

I would be open to trying most anything once, but OSR, especially Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea has picqued much interest lately thanks to the Dungeon Muser. Low Fantasy Gaming, likewise, so I guess I’m interested in all, but will cast my votes on those two.

So what is gonna happen if there is a tie?

Twilight 2000 was an oldie but a goodie. Been 25+ years since I've played that one.

I would love to see Numenara in action. I bought the humble bundle but have never played. It gets my vote.

Right now I'm just seeing what systems people are interested in to narrow it down. I'll then pick my top 3-6 and that's when there will be voting. The numbers right now is just to show where the general interest lies.

yesyes! recently got the book, an the system sounds amazing.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I backed Blades in the Dark, but have never played, nor probably even downloaded any of the rules.

Numenera, not Numenara.

So:
Pathfinder 2
Starfinder
(because I want to be more familiar with them) and
Blades in the Dark (to see what I backed and if it is actually an RPG or a strategy game. That’s how unfamiliar I am with it...but it did seem...different to most RPG’s I’ve played)

Not voting for but fond remembrance:
Twilight 2000
Skyrealms of Jorune

Shock horror why don’t I see:
Tunnels and Trolls (joking)
MERP (serious!)

I'll add Knave and Earthdawn.

Pathfinder 1e: War for the Crown Gestalt (25 point Buy PLEASE!)

Pathfinder 1e: Jade Regent non Gestalt 20 point buy (this is the Adventure Path that introduced me to Pathfinder. Plus I want to play Kitsune samurai!

I should also be clear that when I titled this thread "Let's play something new", I meant to specify that I'd like to play something I haven't played before or in a long time. That means I won't be picking Pathfinder, 1st or 2nd edition. There are plenty of other games here on the Paizo forums where you can play PF.

I think with everything giving on I could be up for some Twilight 2000

I smiled at skyrealms. Haven’t seen Jorune get a shout long long time.

As for votes I cast mine for Venture City. Fate can work as a pbp pretty well. Dungeon World would be my vote if you want fantasy but it really comes down to anything but Kult.

Both DW and Fate have that low key vibe you mentioned.

Dark Archive

Always up for Alternity, DCC, True20, AD&D 1E, or d20 Modern and I confess to being woefully ignorant, but curious about Twilight 2000.

I missed that BrOp! Sorry for the confusion. I’ll withdraw I think. I’m really struggling to get inspired...

Blades in the Dark *is* amazing.

Just for reference:

13th Age I have it, read part of it, would like to give it a shot.
13th Age Glorantha
2300 AD
3:16
7th Sea
Aberrant
Advanced Fighting Fantasy
Adventures in Middle Earth (5e)
Alas Vegas (PbtA)
All Flesh Must Be Eaten
Alternity, Interested in playing, would need access to the rules.
Another Fine Mess
Arcanademia
Ars Magica
Beyond the Wall
Blades in the Dark I've played a magical girls version of this. Would like to give it a shot
Burning Wheel
Champions (2nd edition)
Changeling: the Dreaming (1e)
Chuubo
Colonial Gothic
Conan (Modiphius)
Coriolis
Cypher System Would like to give it a shot, espcially since I backed the Ptolus Kickstarter and have the book.

The Doctor Who RPG (FASA)
Dragon Age
Dungeon Crawl Classics
Dungeon World (PbtA) Have, played, would play again!
Dungeons and Dragons (OD&D, Rules Compendium, 1st, 2nd 3rd, 4th, 5th Edition) Loving 5e right now.
Earthdawn (1e)
Fantasy Age
Fate Core (Shadow of the Century, Tachyon Squadron, Uprising, Venture City) I have. Never really got to play this with someone that knows what their doing with it.
Fellowship
Five Torches Deep
Glorantha/Runequest
Gods of the Fall
Grey Ranks
GUMSHOE (Ashen Stars, Esoterrorists, Fall of Delta Green, Fear Itself, Night's Black Agents, Trail of Cthulhu)
GURPS (4th ed) Would join in a heartbeat if this was sci-fi! I love GURPS as a player, not so much when I'm GMing. I'd love to play in an Infinite Worlds game again.
Hollowpoint
Honor + Intrigue
Imp of the Perverse
In Dark Alleys
In Nomine
Kult
Legacy (Generation Ship, Godsend, Primal Pathways, Rhapsody of Blood, Worldfall)
Mage the Ascension (1e)
Marvel Super Heroes (FASERIP)

Northern Crown (d20)
Numenara Think this one got on here twice.
Pathfinder (1st and 2nd Ed) No interest in 2e. 1e was my first TTRPG. I still like it, but there are definitely things I have come to not like about it.
Pendragon
Phoenix Command
Predation
Savage Worlds (Deadlands: the Weird West, Deadlands: Hell on Earth, Deadlands Noir, The Last Parsec, Sixth Gun, Solomon Kane) Always up for some Savage action now that I've gotten some playtime under my belt.
Shadow of the Demon Lord
Sigmata
Skyrealms of Jorune
Spirit of the Century
Star Trek: The RPG (FASA)
Star Wars the RPG (West End Games)
Starfinder

Wraith: the Oblivion (1e)
Zweihander

Hmm, I think I'd like to give Blades in the Dark a shot, though to be honest, I'd give Numenara a shot too. haven't played either of the.

I would join a Sci-Fi GURPS game in a heartbeat.

Having played Tides of Numenera I would be interested in a Numenera game as well. Anything Monte Cook really.

AdamWarnock wrote:

I believe the player's handbook pdf is reasonably priced at RPG now. But I may have an alternative if need be.
