I encourage everyone who is not in Alpha to post their questions here, so that Alpha players can answer and/or ask on the Alpha forums.

I thank all Alpha players who share of their time and knowledge with us. :)

There are currently only humans in alpha but apparently we will be getting dwarfs any elven kind before EE, likely Bonny will post some teasers before then.

I can't comment on crafting materials but I don't think I've seen any fish in game except as props in a camp we cleared out.

Bulk goods (eg bulk food), and the hex resources which supply bulk goods (eg fish), are not in game and will not be until close to the Cataclysm.

Only individually harvestable resources are implemented.

I am not in alpha, but I got a little play in at Paizo Con. In rushing the land

Quote:
All hexes produce at least some herbs and magical essences for crafting, but different types of these resources are found in different terrains. For example, while mountains don’t produce a lot of herbs, they’re the only places to find vervain. Most hexes also produce some manner of gemstone keyed to the terrain, such as Water hexes producing pearls.

@Wyspr

Humans only, got it. Question on Crafting materials was to check what was posted on blogs vs. watch Alpha testers are actually finding.

@Guurzak
I am aware that bulk resources are not available, that is why I ask about individual crafting materials.

@Lam
Thanks for the catch on mountain hexes!

Mountains: [H] Ore, [M] Stone, [L] Game
Crafting: Iron, Silver, Vervain

I was also pointing out that all terrains provide essences and herbs, though as you did notice the only herb in mountains is vervain

Understood, but I was only adding the specific crafting items that have been named so far. I will keep updating the list as more information is revealed.

All of the resources you have tagged as H/M/L are part of the bulk goods economy.

Each hex listed had both the bulk and individual level of resources (for reference), but my question above was specifically about crafting materials (the individual level resources). The point is to learn what individual Alpha players are able to gather the crafting materials at the lower end of the hex scale. :)

I am hoping a lot of information is forthcoming now that Gen Con is over....

I already made my own thread, but seeing as there's a thread like this, I hope you'll see no harm in me asking the same question twice. So here goes.

I'm looking for somebody who's tried running the alpha client on Linux, with what ever middleware they've seen suitable. Did you get it to run?

I am currently pondering whether to buy access to EE or not, and wouldn't like to take a blind leap. I'd be extremely thankful for any input from somebody with proper information.
