Rosita is now old enough to ask accusingly about a five year plan. Limeylongears continues his training to be a Musketeer. NobodysHome was banished to Disneyland with a hundred disaffected teenagers. Kileanna apparently lives in a mystical land of sunshine, and spicy octopus, where everyone goes to sleep by four in the afternoon. Freehold I assume is doing something New Yorkey, like cussing at a f@*~ing bus, or a f&~~ing tourist, or a f!%~ing cabbie, or f&+~ing anyone, really. John is still ever vigilant against hobos pissing on our car tires. Tacticslion needs a dog like Mindy from Animaniacs to watch his kids. Lynora needs a footrub, and a medal. Vidmaster only visits at night, and then usually to heckle my aliases, which clearly means only one thing; he's Tom Cruise, out to sabotage my career. Drejk's mom visited, sleeping on his (not so new) mattress, and accusingly asking about his five year plan. I have four days to keep Pea Bear from becoming a teenager, so far my only idea is to say "As your father, I forbid it!!" Which of course, never works. And Sharoth has caused us all deep, deep psychological damage.

All I want to do is work on the garden. But it's supposed to rain for four days straight starting tomorrow, so there's no point in tilling the soil if the rain will just settle it anyway.
In the meantime I already have all the doors and windows wide open at 8:30 in the morning, and it's supposed to go from the high 60's today to the high 70's by the weekend.

It's been in the seventies since last week sometime. It's been beautiful! Got a patio in, and the flowers are all set. Just need to till the soil so I can get all these seedlings crowding my windows in the ground.

Actually, my mom brought her own mattress, which I might kept using when she leaves. We'll see how well I'll sleep on it.

I work tonight.
They sent out a mailer today with huge sales on bikes, trampolines, "hoverboards", and other summer implements of injury.
The sale doesn't start for another three days, which the mailer says. In the fine print.
But of course, no one's willing to pay full price.
The only problem is. Captain Yesterday doesn't haggle.

I had a person ask me that in a job interview and I said "to take your job" he called my bluff and hired me anyway.
