Invisibility + Silence

Rules Discussion

Hello everyone,

I was looking at the rules to handle this case: What happens if a creature is invisible and silenced? Can you seek it if you don't have any other imprecise or precise sense?
Thanks for your help!

I'd let a character try to do something like look for feet imprints, although I'd give the silenced, invisible character a bonus to their Static stealth DC, unless the character is spending actions to do things like grab a sack of flour and throw it into a space, or cause it to start raining in the area.

I would go with Unicore, there. Difficult to seek? Definitely. Impossible to attempt seeking? Hard no.

The question is: Why don't you have any other imprecise or precise sense?

I'd say touch is a rather precise sense but unfortunately it is not mentioned in the CRB, so you will have to house rule for effect. The disadvantage of touch is short range (neither a 30 foot cone nor a 15 foot burst within line of sight) and very limited area so I would twist the rules to align with the seek action when looking for hazards.

Something like: Choose 4 continous hexes within reach, GM attempts a single secret Perception check, etc.

Else I am afraid you are dependend on indirect detection as Unicore already mentioned.
