Lingering Performance + Superstition

Rules Questions

Dark Archive

Hello!

Scenario: Skald that shares Superstition with Raging Song and then turns it off with Lingering Performance.

Question: At the 2nd and 3rd round, do PCs have to roll Will to receive buffs? (Superstitious)

If it's any relevant it's a Spell Warrior Skald.

Liberty's Edge

I'd say yes. The raging song has ended, but Lingering Performance specifically continues both the bonuses and penalties of a performance. That would include the bonuses and penalties of raging song, including any rage powers shared thereby.

The Community-Minded trait, on the other hand, only continues the duration of morale BONUSES... and thus would cause the bonus to saves to continue for two rounds w/o the need for saves against buffs.

Benefit: The bonuses and penalties from your bardic performance continue for 2 rounds after you cease performing. Any other requirement, such as range or specific conditions, must still be met for the effect to continue. If you begin a new bardic performance during this time, the effects of the previous performance immediately cease.

The willing target part of Superstition is certainly not good, but I don't think qualifies as a penalty.

Penalty

Penalties are numerical values that are subtracted from a check or statistical score. Penalties do not have a type and most penalties stack with one another.
