Ashardalon Adventures in 5e

5th Edition (And Beyond)

I have always wanted to run all of the original 3.0 adventures that make up the "Ashardalon" series that began with The Sunless Citadel. I DMed The Sunless Citadel back in the early days of D&D 3.0, and used part of the second module, The Forge of Fury, in a d20 Modern adventure. Now since my group plays 5E, I want to try again. The first two adventures have been converted and reprinted in Tales from the Yawning Portal. Have any of you out there attempted to convert the rest of these old modules?

It's generally easy enough to run 3.X stuff with 5e almost straight up.

For AC, average touch AC & "regular" AC (just add them together and divide by two) but max 22.
For to hit bonus, add three to the ability modifier.

Good luck♥

I see you mentioned this formula in another thread. You said it was from WoTC. Do you have a specific source, or conversion document?

Yes, this wonderful document.

Awesome! Thanks!

Since we'll be in lockdown for a while longer, I decided to buy The Sunless Citadel and Forge of Fury on Roll20. I have an ongoing Iron Gods campaign to finish, but as I can't get the AP on Roll20, I decided to go with something I can continue in person after this whole pandemic fiasco is over. I have all of the hard copy modules, and hope I can get my players to play those after Iron Gods.

Best of luck to you and your friends♥
