Question on Editions

Pathfinder Society

Hey guys,

Is Pathfinder society 100% moved over to 2nd edition now? Or are there still organized games with 1st ed?
thanks

Online there is plenty of 1e still going on. Also, various stores still do 1e PFS - like here in Denver. But it is a struggle to get a 1e table to happen.

I was more asking about for conventions. So I guess it depends on the lodge? They still have 1st ed stuff they CAN run?

Yes, the vast majority of stuff is still available to be run. However, new stuff is no longer published for 1e, all new PFS publications will be for 2e.

We still see a healthy mix of PFS1, PFS2 & SFS at our regular lodge events. Its been a pretty good mix too at all the conventions I've been to recently. However, locally at least, PF2 seems to be preferred by the GMs who attend cons and that's starting to shape what gets offered at the conventions. (There's a lot of PF1 GMs who don't attend cons and I think they'll keep PF1 healthy in the local area longer than average nationally.)

1/5 * RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

1st Edition has an insane amount of content and many lodges still run it along side Starfinder and 2nd Edition.

The Omaha Lodge is hosting a Charity Convention on February 21, 22, and 23rd. We will be offering 5 slots of 1e tables, including Serpent's Ire.

We are able to seat one table of 1e a weekend.

My players are making use of the re-plays granted to them.

Can you still get credit for Pathfinder 1st ed. PFS play? Can you move 1st ed. characters to 2nd ed.? Thanks in advance!
