Feats for animal companion with Int 1-2???

Advice

Hi all.
Tell me please correctly I think about this moment...

In describe of animal companion listed next:

Feats

This is the total number of feats possessed by an animal companion. Animal companions should select their feats from those listed under Animal Feats. Animal companions can select other feats, although they are unable to utilize some feats (such as Martial Weapon Proficiency). Note that animal companions cannot select a feat with a requirement of base attack bonus +1 until they gain their second feat at 3 Hit Dice.

Animal companions can select from the following feats:

Acrobatic, Agile Maneuvers, Armor Proficiency (light, medium, and heavy), Athletic, Blind-Fight, Combat Reflexes, Diehard, Dodge, Endurance, Great Fortitude, Improved Bull Rush, Improved Initiative, Improved Natural Armor, Improved Natural Attack, Improved Overrun, Intimidating Prowess, Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, Mobility, Power Attack, Run, Skill Focus, Spring Attack, Stealthy, Toughness, Weapon Finesse, and Weapon Focus.

Animal companions with an Intelligence of 3 or higher can select any feat they are physically capable of using. GMs might expand this list to include feats from other sources.

So if animal companion snake-constrictor have Int.2 can this animal companion take feat Hefty Brute now or he must have Int.3 for this feat?
I think so - with Int.2 animal companion can select from the following feats:

Acrobatic, Agile Maneuvers, Armor Proficiency (light, medium, and heavy), Athletic, Blind-Fight, Combat Reflexes, Diehard, Dodge, Endurance, Great Fortitude, Improved Bull Rush, Improved Initiative, Improved Natural Armor, Improved Natural Attack, Improved Overrun, Intimidating Prowess, Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, Mobility, Power Attack, Run, Skill Focus, Spring Attack, Stealthy, Toughness, Weapon Finesse, and Weapon Focus.

With Int.3 and higher animal companion can take any feat from list of animal companion feats for what he have prerequisites...
My argument - I don't see feats for what in prerequisites written Int.3...

Ok, so answering your question requires a bit of clarification on what the animal companion rules are saying for feats.

First, an animal companion with an int score of 1 or 2 is restricted to the list of feats in the animal companion rules. Their feats must be one of the feats on that list.

Second, an animal companion with an int score of 3 or more can select from ANY feat, not just the ones in the animal companions rules section, so long as they are capable of meeting the prerequisites, and can reasonably use the feat.

Finally, the subsection of feats labeled as Animal Companion Feats, of which Hefty Brute belongs, create an exception to the rules for animal companion feat selection. Those feats may be selected by any animal companion regardless of their int score.

Animal Companion Feats wrote:
As they grow in strength and experience, animal companions and mounts develop mutations, personality quirks, and tricks that grant them new abilities unlike those seen in typical animals of their kind. The following feats can be chosen by characters with the animal companion or by companions themselves, as indicated in each feat’s prerequisite line. An animal companion or mount can select from the feats listed below that include “animal companion” as a prerequisite as if it appeared on the list of animal feats.

So, yes, your int 2 animal companion may take Hefty Brute at any level that it obtains a feat.

The reason the animal companion feats are not listed on the feats for animal companions with less than a 3 INT is that they came out in a latter supplement. When something like this happens Paizo writes in the exception to the old rule in the description of the new rule. As Chell Raighn points out this was done for Animal Companion feats.

1st edition Pathfinder spans more than a decade in time many of the books don’t take into account latter supplements. It is simply not practical to update all the books every time a new supplement comes out.

Thanks for your answer)))

But...
From where this quote?

And few more question...

1)Feat Boon companyon listed in general feats and in animal companion feats - so I think that feat can take OR personage OR his animal companion with benefits in all case?
2) Favored Animal Focus (Animal Companion Feat)
Prerequisite(s): Animal companion class feature, animal focus class feature.
So if personage have only Animal companion class feature he can't take this feat?
I understand that this feat done animal focus for hunter more powerful but don't give animal focus for other classes who have only animal companion (like druid or ranger)?
