Holy Borker: Warg Cubs as Divine Steed?

So, the champions steed spirit ability specifies other things can be the steed, but it's not a mount. Which is fine.

My half-orc liberator wants to take a warg cub from Hellknight Hill and make it his animal companion. It's the right size and such, it's definitely young, anyone see any issues? I haven't done anything with animal companions in 2e yet.

There are some community generated feats that allow this you can find under age of ashes forum. I think it only makes them medium though, may be a issue for an halforc to use as a mount.

No intention for mounting it. Just wanted to make sure I read the rules right.

Hey what a coincidence, I also allowed my party's half-orc champion to take a warg cub as his animal companion (paladin though, of Ragathiel, the #1 proponent of "take this thing that comes from an evil background and raise to to be a LG hero"). I pretty much made it "wolf but smarter."
