Is There A Playable Azlanti Construct?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Is there any way to play an Azlanti construct in Pathfinder? I can’t find anything online that suggests this is an option, but I want to be sure I’m not missing anything.

I’m aware of wyrwoods, and also of warforged, but neither of these will work for my current purposes. Are there any Pathfinder character options pertaining specifically to Azlanti constructs?

Wyrwoods specifically are the playable Azlanti construct, so you'll likely need to range farther afield if they don't work for you. You might try Rite Publishing's Ironborn, from In The Company of Monsters. They're a modular construct race that I've used as a replacement for warforged in the past, and their thing is that they have a pretty bare bones construct racial loadout that you then add a custom-purpose package to (like scout or soldier) that rounds out your abilities and stats.

Thanks, I didn't realize that aspect of wyrwood lore.

I'm getting the sense that they're the only playable construct in first-party Pathfinder material. Is that accurate?

If so, how easily could an awakened clockwork servant be adapted to a playable race? I was intrigued by Aoinse, on p. 35 of The Flooded Cathedral, and wondered if it was possible to replicate the chassis as a race.

Aoinse is an awakened construct so the main RAW written way to play one is going to be to ask your GM if you can play an awakend clockwork servant or something of the like. I'm fairly certain (there could always be something tucked away in a splatbook that I'm not thinking of right now) that there aren't any tailored-for-PCs clockwork races in the Paizo line-up.

Refluff an android?

Starfinder has 'Sentient Robotic Organisms' (SRO) for the Anacites/Aballonians and other robots. It might be able to cobble something together from that and the old Pathfinder generic Aballonian.

That said, while it is possible that the 'First Ones' who created the Anacites were Azlanti, there isn't anything really suggesting that was the case. Still, the Starfinder SRO stats only require a few tweaks to work with Pathfinder and could then be repurposed for any sort of sentient construct.
