Experienced Smuggler

The feat states:

Due to your smuggling skill, you’re more likely to find more lucrative smuggling jobs when using Underworld Lore to Earn Income.

How does one use Underworld Lore and where can I get more information about this lore? Would I just tell me GM "I want to earn more income using Underworld Lore" and call it a day?

Scarab Sages

You can gain Underworld Lore as a skill either through your background, using your extra skill points when you pick a class, as your intelligence increases, or through skill increases you gain as you level up.

The Criminal background give you both the Experienced Smuggler feat and the Underworld Lore skill.

You can use this the same way as other Lore skills, either to recall knowledge in situations that fit the Lore (usually with a lower DC than other knowledge skills, such as Nature or Religion) or to use your downtime to Earn Income.

Your GM should let you know when you have downtime, but if they don't then you should ask about downtime between adventures or whenever someone wants to spend time crafting.

Hmm interesting, when they say "more lucrative smuggling jobs when using Underworld Lore to Earn Income" would this then be a better way to earn money then say putting on a show doing a Performance for an audience?

The rules for either are largely the same, every thing is extrapolated out. They appear on page. 236 of the rulebook.

It depends on the area. Tgat bit of the feat is basically telling the gn to up the opportunity a bit.

E.g you are level 8 in a small town. You could perform for these yokels but the task level is only 2 so you cant earn that much doing it. The gm does have a group of black market traders operating in the area thatd normally offer level 2 jobs to outsiders, but your clear experience means they are willing to put you on more lucrative lvl 4 work.
