Crafting between session

Crafting: You can spend your Downtime to craft an item following
the rules presented on page 235 of the Starfnder Core Rulebook. A
character must use the skills listed in this section of the book and
cannot use the Profession skill to craft equipment. It is assumed that
between adventures, you have access to the tools and workshop
necessary to craft equipment

Spend downtime to craft an item. Am I reading that right in reading that as ONE item?

My understanding is that it is one item as well.

I think that is the case.

It doesn't make any sense, with the amount of time crafting in Starfinder takes, but I think 1 item is the society rule.

In an early adventure, my -701 crafted a pike during the 5d6 days it took to travel to the adventure location. I take it we can't do that anymore?

I don't believe we ever could. I don't know why he decision to tie crafting that only tales a few hours to downtime between scenarios was made, but I'm pretty sure it was there in the first version of the guide.

Yep. I think it's tied into Master Crafter and the like. You can make *one* item after every Scenario you play. I guess technically you could "quickly" craft things if you played through a Quest Pack?

Each quest is not mechanically treated like a scenario so probably not. In 2e maybe as they are treated as different with their own chronicles.

I personally see no problem with crafting something during a scenario, but I do not believe RAW from the guide.
