Griffon mount for ranger

Advice

Hi all.
Need your advice...
I read about feat Monstrous mount and have some questions...
1) Prerequisite for this feat is: hunter’s bond (animal companion), or mount class feature with an effective druid level of 4.
My player half-elf have multi-talant (multiclass) as druid (1 lvl) with Nature Bond animal companion/ ranger (7 lvl)with hunter bond animal. She takes animal companion cat (big) from first level as druid).
Can she take as Rear a wild animal (griffon) for the Handle animal skill and use him as a mount?
2) If she Rear a wild animal (or buy) griffon for use him as a mount, will this griffon rise in levels (with grow-up in 7 lvl)?
3) If even this griffon doesn't rise in levels, can he fly with personage on his back if she (as the character with it griffon bonded) has the Monstrous Mount Mastery feat and 7 lvl. (druid 1 and ranger 7)?

Silver Crusade

the griffon replaces your original mount/animal companion and levels exactly the same as a normal mount or AnC would.

1. No you cannot rear a griffin. The handle animal skill will only work on non-animals with an intelligence of 1 or 2. A griffons intelligence is 5.

2. Only if they are your animal companion then they advance as normal.

3. No, your effective Druid level is only 5 (Ranger 7-3= 4+1 = 5). You would have to wait 2 morel levels for the mount to fly with a rider.

Understood.
So I see next variant for special mount:
1) Players can Buy a griffon with Combat training and must have Monstrous mount and Monstrous mount mastery feats for fly on it...
2) Players can take Monstrous mount and Monstrous mount mastery. Then they can went to the region, where can find Hippogryph and try to rear that creature. So Hippogryph has Int=2, player can use Handle animal to check this rear.

Advice me please what of this variants is right?

And second question - if mount move with standart speed more then 5 ft, rider can use only one attack?
To take a full-attack action when mount move with standart speed more then 5 ft rider must have Mounted Skirmisher feat?

And one more question...
If personage druid 1/ranger 6 have feat Boon Companion so her animal companion (big cat) has 7 lvl?
She wants to take feat Monstrous mount+Monstrous mount mastery and ride on Griffon or Hippogrife (take it by the way I've been say in my last post)...
In that case (and if her animal companion will stay with she) griffon/hippogrife will be mount? What level will have this creature?

Generally getting the feats is assumed to include getting the griffon or hippogryph (those are different monsters and different options for monstrous mount). Your GM may ask you to buy something or to travel somewhere but that's not in the rules.

If your mount moves up to a single move action (its standard speed) you can take a full melee attack, anything more and you can take only one attack. If you're charging over any distance then it's only one attack allowed unless you have pounce somehow. If you're using a missile weapon you can take a full attack at any speed on a mount, though there are penalties to hit at higher speed.

Boon companion on ranger 6 / druid 1 gives a level 7 companion, yes. That's true with monstrous mount & monstrous mount mastery too.

for ranged attacks while mounted, you get a full attack on a single move action without penalty tho.

I assume monstrous mount should function similarly to the improved familiar feat. It's not exactly proof as they are merely similar things, but it's still a precedent.

Sorcerer/Wizard: Can I dismiss my familiar so I may select a new familiar?

This isn't addressed in the rules anywhere, but yes, you should be able to dismiss a familiar if you want to select a new one. However, you must still wait 1 week and pay 200 gp for the 8-hour ritual. Dismissing a familiar is ending a link between your soul and it, so it should probably take about an hour.

The exception to the above is if you take the Improved Familiar feat, which allows you to immediately replace your familiar with the new familiar, at no cost or time required (it is assumed this occurs during whatever preparations you make while leveling up).

Once dismissed, an animal familiar is just a normal animal of its type (a special familiar from the Improved Familiar feat reverts to a normal creature of its type). Whether or not it wants to remain with you is up to your GM and probably based on how you treated the creature while it was your familiar.
