After it's eaten and, in time, "passes on" to other forms - does it become sentient if an Otyugh is involved in some way?

What about your own corpse? If I mean that thing is dead AND it has your consent. You should be fine consuming your own corpse right?

If so then this is going to be a major relief to Dracoliches trying to get back to full strength.....

If the monster tells you it will eat you, then it is fair game to be eaten. Otherwise, eating a sentient outside of ritual is evil. So is serving a sentient. Ritual eating can be good or evil, depending on the details.
