Ioun Stones

Rules Questions

We may be coming into a large number of ioun stones.

Is there a limit to how many a PC can have floating around them?

I don't believe there's any technical limit unless you get so many orbiting your head that it somehow interferes with your vision, but that would be almost an absurd amount and, even then, it would just be inconvenient. It wouldn't stop you from using or benefiting from them.

Ok, I couldn't find anything in the CRB. However, someone thought they had read about a limit to the number you could use at a time.

Nope, no limit.

Maybe they had read Vance books. In one of the novels, a guy with an enormous quantity of ioun stones did lose his memory.

Ioun stones make nice targets when a PC has many buffs making him difficult to be hit/hurt by the BBEG. Muhahahaha!

Hey, if the BBEG is spending attacks swatting stones instead of murdering me, I can live with that. Keep the most expensive one in a wayfinder and/or implant any stones you're worried about losing.

Just make sure you implant the Clear Spindle last. Since IIRC, it indirectly prevents the implantation of additional ioun stones.
