Oh, one other thing I really hope for: floor plans! Both generic examples and rules/guidelines for making your own. I've had to basically invent things from scratch for the couple ships my players boarded, and while I *can* do that, it'd be nice to have some help.
They actually have done a really good job with floor plans of a lot of ships in the adventure paths. Nearly every episode of adventure paths has a new ship and its floor plan on the back cover. The problem replicating those in a hard cover would take up a TON of space. Honestly a small companion book of just ship floor plan maps could be neat or a flip mat book of just different ships from the AP's.

I do hope it has some rules to help facilitate NPC ship operation in battle. Having run a couple ship fights, one of the biggest issues is that the NPC ship still has all the same action phases, and action decisions, as a PC ship. . . only instead of 3-6 players splitting the mental effort, its all on one GM.
Unless the only thing a GM ever runs is 'single big bad' combats, they always have to keep track of more things than a single player. Action phases actually let them focus on one set of tasks at a time.

Okay, I admit, it isn't the 3,000 people that a normal cruise liner can fit by a long shot, but I've made up a cruise liner for Starfinder that fits 96, which is . . . like . . . probably the best you'll get. Just don't get it into a fight . . . It will not do well.
