If a worm that walks was hit by the natural 20 effect of a Vorporal weapon in non swarm form would that automatically kill it or cause it to fall into swarm form as the fast healing attempts to reform it? This is more a rules question but also open to cool flavor idea if auto death isn’t the correct answer.

Worm that Walks Traits: A worm that walks has no discernible anatomy, and is not subject to critical hits or flanking. Reducing a worm that walks to 0 hit points causes it to discorporate
Upon a roll of natural 20 (followed by a successful roll to confirm the critical hit)
It is immune to critical hits, so you can't roll to confirm the critical. The end result is that it is immune to the special effect of a vorpal weapon.
Cool flavor idea? Seeing the blade sewer the "neck" of the creature and coming out with a trail of squiggling worms, while other squiggling worms instantly reattack the head to the torso.
Actually it is more a "horror movie special effect" idea than a cool one, but the right kind of players will appreciate it.
Yeah, it doesn't actually have a "head", it's simply a mass of worms that maintains a roughly humanoid shape.
Conversely, I do believe they count as a swarm though, so they are subject to extra damage from area spells.
That is true. I like the idea of the WTW bluffing a staggered position and “falls to its knees” the character that fails the knowledge check then has a rude awakening when they try to loot it.
