Ways to add an extra target to a single target range spell.

Advice

Hello everyone,

Is anyone aware of any way to have a single target ranged spell affect an additional target? I have been searching everywhere to no avail. D&D 3.5 edition had Split Ray, which still isn’t exactly what I am searching for, but close. Any ideas?

As far as offical feats go. You have Bouncing Spell and Contagious Spell. But they probably aren't what you have in mind. There is the 3rd party feat Chain Spell, which I think does what you're looking for.

Outside of that I'm not sure.

I've pretty much resolved myself to either Chain Spell or Words of Power for boost Select target word. They are close, but a little high in the level increase.

There are a couple spells that let that happen as a secondary effect, like Burning Arc.

There is also Echoing Spell which lets you cast a spell a second time.
