Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I THINK it says in it somewhere that the demon lord Deskari used his artifact scythe to cut a hole in reality or something like that.

Areelu Vorlesh was an arcane caster trapped in a Sarkorian prison who reached out to Deskari and with the aid of two other (unwitting) spellcasters, weakened the barrier between planes and then Deskari went snicker-snack with the scythe against reality.

...<edit>Ninja'ed!
(Removes overly detailed response.)

Kasoh's reply above nicely summarises & includes the most salient points of the event - so use that.

I will add that the barrier/veil between the Material & other planes had always been a little thin in the old Sarkoris region (probably one reason for all the eidolons worshipped there) & that Deskari had once been active there before being driven off & banished from Golarion by Aroden.

Another contributing factor was the death of Aroden. It simultaneously removed the biggest threat to Deskari's plots and weakened the already-thin space between planes, making it an ideal time to Kool-Aid man through planes.
