PFS2 1-06 Lost on the Spirit Road (1-4)

Recruitment

Yarr.

I'm looking for 4-6 Pathfinders for 1-06 Lost on the Spirit Road (1-4).

This is a replayable scenario and will be a bit different every time you play it. While I'm not quite as fast as posting as I used to you should be able to post a bit more often than the 1/day standard for many games on these forums.

I'll be finalizing my decision on who to take by Friday the 8th and getting started on the game by Monday the 11th, giving us the weekend to finalize any character stuff needed and get a fully functioning profile etc.

To apply please post here with the following information:

1. How experienced are you with PFS2/2e/pbp so far (0 for all is a totally fine answer, I'm mostly just curious and try and include at least 1 new player in all my low level pbps)

2. Something awesome about yourself.

3. A link to the profile or at least a very brief description of the character you're most interested in bringing.

As always if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to post those as well.

I have played most PF2 scenarios including this one. I've played lots of PBP.

I enjoy reading books in one sitting. Takes a few hours but it's worth it.

Haven't built the character yet but I'm thinking druid with a cat and I'll add Wild Shape at level 2.

1. This could be my 1st PFS2 scenario, but have been running Age of Ashes AP on another board since 2e launched.

2. Something Awesome? I'm learning how to build a computer!

3. Im bringing a Halfling Ranger. He loves to take naps and eat snack cakes...would do it all day if no one interrupts em...!

Grand Archive

1. I have played a handful of quests and adventures at my local game shop.
I have done play by posts before, but not with Pathfinder and not on these forums.

2. I'm currently running my gaming group through a homebrew 5e nautical campaign I've been working on for a few years. Giants run the world with the last bastion of freedom for the smaller races being the sea.

3. I'd like to bring in my Human Wizard (Necromancer). A Galtan woman that studies the boundaries between life and death to better her medical capabilities.

I ran and played PFS during gen con, several sessions of Escaping Te Grave and one Origin of the Open Road, and started playing the character below through the Absalom Initiation, decent PBP experience.

When I was 16, I walked with my family from Maine NY to Niagra Falls NY via back roads. (7 of us went)

I'll be bringing Dob Frilko, a second level Gnome )Fey) Fighter with Sorcerer Dedication

Thank you all so far for your interest, super happy to hear why ya'll are awesome.

I have ran all, minus absalom initiation, and played most. I have ran one PBP scenario and currently playing in one.

I have been in public safety as a firefighter/EMT for going on 13 years now. And a police dispatcher for 5.

I would be most likely creating a fresh level one for this as to not lock in my other character. Leaning towards a goblin sorcerer or a dwarf cleric of Torag.

Dark Archive

I have run 7 tables of PFS2, and last week started running Age of Ashes. Lots and lots of PBP games, though.

Awesome? Well, that would be that SkalCon, a charity event that I help organize, raised $6000 for our charity (Tubman) this year, even though we had to move to a larger, more expensive venue! That’s over $27,000 in five years!

As for my character.... haven’t completely built him yet, but I am thinking that he will be a Ouat dwarf of clan Ironfist, who hails from Tar Kuata, and practices Mountain Stance as his preferred style. He can be as stubborn and unmovable as a mountain, but within has a heart of gold.

He will be 2nd level, from GM credits.

I’d love to play!

1) I’m very experienced with PbP and somewhat experienced with 2e (I run a 2e FtF campaign.)

2) I’ve been to every GenCon since 1980 except the year Uncle Sam sent me overseas and the year my youngest son was born. I have Gary Gygax’s signature in my 1e DMG.

I got a call out of the blue from an old friend who said “Remember when we were kids and we used to play Dungeons and Dragons?” As though he were talking about something childish. “Yup,” I told him. “Still do. Every other week for the last forty two years.” It was a short conversation after that.

3) Imiriax is a Taldan wizard who seeks to learn the secrets of shapechanging and believes the dangers of ancient tombs and temples should be handled only by professionals because of the dangers they represent to the innocent if amateurs are permitted to disturb them.

I've GM'd one game of PFS2 and have played in about a half dozen now. I have many games under my belt, both GM'ing and playing PbP over the past two years or so.

I am a father of 3 kids, between ages 5 and 11! They come with plenty of moments of "awwww" as well as requiring plenty of sums/expenses.

If you want to know more, I recently played this PC in a scenario with this guy (so that puts me about six degrees(?) away from awesome). I've also played PbP games with most of the players above and can vouch for their awesomeness (several more degrees(?) closer to awesome).

Pell thinks he's awesome.

I've played a bit of PBP over the last few years (okay, far too much). I GMed a couple of Playtest games. I've played one (hopefully finishes today, or maybe this weekend) scenario and one quest, and GMed one scenario in PFS2.

2. Something awesome about yourself.
I too am a parent of three, though mine are a little older (11-14).

3. A link to the profile or at least a very brief description of the character you're most interested in bringing.

This one.

I do a ridiculous amount of play-by-posting. I've been active on the boards for over five years at this point, and I'm in multiple APs, some of which have been going for almost that long.

I'm a creative writing grad student on my last semester. My thesis is a novel that will end up around 70-80,000 words, and I'll be done within a month. It's a coming-of-age story set in mythological Greece about the transgender daughter of Odysseus.

I have two different characters I might bring, depending on the group and who I need to keep available for face-to-face games.

The first is Edelmira Carthagnion, a Chelaxian noblewoman who plays the role of a polite, respectable noble while secretly plotting a revolution in Cheliax, secretly working with the Firebrands while using her connections in the Envoy's Alliance and Crimson Reclaimers to gather allies. She travels everywhere with her loyal servant Herbert, a minor noble who has sworn himself to her service, who doubles as her majordomo and spymaster. Edelmira is an axe-and-board heavily armored fighter.

The second is a goblin named Shwurk Greebler. She has dedicated herself to becoming the greatest merchant ever (especially better than her stupid brother Chwurk!). She has eccentric ideas about what makes good merchandise--such as trying to sell broken chair parts because they are "so rare you cant find them in stores!"--and has invented a new process for improving existing products, a process she calls "Greebling," which involves adding lots of unnecessary doo-dads and trinkets to things to make them look fancier and more useful. Her slogan is "It won't just work; it'll Shwurk!" which helps keep her legally covered if it doesn't actually work. Shwurk is a polymath bard.

Reporting for duty!

1. Played PFS for years. I have played only two 2e's an GM'd one. Almost all my PFS is PbP.

2. I am alive during that era of human existence when PFS is an option. Not unique, but still awesome.

3. Character sheet is part of the profile for this character. I will probably make a Google sheet. Character is a Human Ranger with the archery feats.

Ya'll are awesome, keep it comin'.

Registering an interest.

1. Been playing RPGs since AD&D in the mid 80s, converted from 3.5 to PF ~2011. I'm a 4 star PFS GM, run a handful of SFS games, and am currently running Age of Ashes IRL, my players are just finishing up book 1. I've done a half dozen different PbP games, all PFS and all on these boards.

2. I think the most awesome thing I've done lately is running my two boys (6 & 8) and my wife through the first 11 levels of the Emerald Spire. Probably not surprising that the kids are much better at arithmetic than when we started. Their characters were a Druid named Eagle Ray and his trusty wolf Red Ray, a Barbarian/Hunter named Stingray Killer and his powerful T-Rex companion Zach Storm and a charming halfling sorcerer named Star (my kids love animals if you couldn't tell). We're still deciding what to play next, either some PF2 for more animal goodness, or maybe some Starfinder to get our pew pew on.

3. I have a couple of character options. Both are in the process of being fleshed out. First is a half-elven Bard named Wolstine Delwaris. Second is a goblin Barbarian named Wrut Golkex (the W is silent).

Thank you all for your interest and for sharing a bit of yourself with all of us.

It's always very humbling to get twice as many entrants as maximum available slots.

While it'd be lovely to take you all I'm going to have to limit my selection to...

hrothdane
Peli
imiriax
Silbeg
Reckless
