Blessing of the Savored Sting second power says:

Quote:
When you would fail a check, discard this card to reroll the dice, adding 2 dice to the roll; take the new result. If any other blessings were played on the check, banish them. You may use this power even if you played another blessing on the check.

Pre-Core, this was effectively a 'freely' played blessing, since it could be played on a check no matter who had already played a blessing.

Post-Core, this power can only be used if the person playing Blessing of the Savoured Sting has already played a blessing, but it does not work if another character had blessed the check.

Could this power be updated so that it can be freely played again?

Now that the restriction is no longer 1 blessing per person and instead 1 blessing per check, I would assume the last line would read as:

Quote:
When you would fail a check, discard this card to reroll the dice, adding 2 dice to the roll; take the new result. If any other blessings were played on the check, banish them. You may use this power even if another blessing was played on the check.

That is just my interpretation of the wording and intent. I could be wrong.

EDIT: As per MorkXI below, after addressing how the last sentence would look with the new rules, might as well just remove it and use freely in the first sentence.

That would be another way of doing it. My suggestion probably should have removed that last sentence altogether - it is redundant with 'freely' in the first sentence.

Personal opinion: I don't mind that the blessing ends up weaker than originally intended in a post-Core world, because I think it's one of the all-time strongest blessings in PACG and I don't mind the indirect nerf.
