Summoned Creature Combo

Rules Questions

I want to check and make sure that I am correct in thinking this combo works.

CE Herald Caller Cleric level 2
Feats: Summon Evil Monster, Sacred Summons
Domain :Void (Dark Tapistry)

So will all of that I can:
1. Summon a fiendish ghost scorpion using summon monster 1 spontaneously converting a prepared spell if desired
2. I can summon it as a standard action
3. The summoned scorpion acts on the turn I summon it
4. The scorpion has the advanced template
5. It can understand my words and I can direct it.

1. Correct.
2. Correct.
3. Correct, but only if it exactly matches your alignment (NE).
4. Correct, but only once per day.
5. Correct.

(I just read through all the material you mentioned and this is how I understand it. If anyone wants to argue I'm open to it, but that's how it looks to me.)

Sovereign Court

Yes on 1-4, 5 probably not.
Some points though just in case its not clear:
Ghost Scorpion is a specific monster, not a ghost templated scorpion. That being said, it has 3 attacks and pounce so is really good for the level 1 list. Basically an upgraded (because pounce) eagle. An eagle would have +1 to hit on all its attacks, and a larger damage die (d4s vs d3s) compared to pounce and poison. Flight is offset by Tremorsense. Pounce is less useful on a summoned monster vs player, because typically it can arrive right next to an enemy anyway and full attack.
(4)The advanced template ability (it came from beyond) is only 1/day. So good, but might not be worth the domain slot.
(5)The Herald Caller's ability for the caster and the summon to understand each others spoken language probably should not trump the fact that the ghost scorpion can't speak any language in the first place and is in fact mindless. In general though, summoned creatures understand your intent, ie 'attack that guy' regardless of int or communication ability.

The Exchange

yes to all but standard action it is not an outsider with NE subtype.

Ok just to update why they do/don't work:

1. Yes, Summon Evil Monster lets you summon the ghost scorpion & Herald Caller lets you spontaneously convert spells to summons.

2. Yes, Summon Evil Monster lets you summon certain monsters as a standard action, but they can't act on your turn unless ...

3. Yes, Sacred Summons lets you summon as a standard action, the monsters can act on your turn provided they match your alignment or subtype. Summon Evil Monster lets you ignore the subtype restriction (but not the alignment restriction) for monster on the Summon Evil Monster list. So this is "Yes if your Aura is NE".

4. Yes, this is from the Void (Dark Tapestry) domain. It's only once per day, and if summoning more than one creature it only works on one of them.

5. Yes, this is from the Herald Caller's "Divine Heralds" ability.

The Exchange

i stand corrected. the feat does allow the standard action. never played an evil one so missed that.

All good, there were a lot of rules interacting there.

Thanks for going through all of that guys. Like MrCharisma said, there was a lot interacting there which was why I wanted an few more opinions.

Edit: On a related note. Since I summon as a standard, if they can't act on the round summoned my monster will only get 1 round to attack it I'm a level 2 cleric correct?
