Lunar Oracle Build

Advice

So I'm about to start a new game without an specific theme and I decided to play a full caster and end choosing Oracle as it has okay armor and some interesting stuffs, while looking at the mysteries and archetypes I finally get this idea: angel Aasimar Lunar Oracle with the psychic searcher archetype, the first feat is extra revelation to start with both prophetic armor and primal companion, the curse is haunted and don't appear to get in my way.

The idea is poke my foes with a longspear from a fairly safe distance and throw my tiger companion at them, pump my CHA as much as possible and cast buff and heal spells

Is this okay? It looks good to me but I have never played any class with an animal companion, is the tiger a good pick? what feats or strategies should I take or use to improve it? So far celestial servant seems very flavorful but I've no idea if it's worth a feat, A celestial Tiger sounds awesome, Also I'm not adding martial weapons but I want to carry a weapon around and okay STR to be able of do something without burning a spell every turn.

Gimme your opinion.

1. I'm kinda a big fan of Reclusive as a Curse for melee Oracles. The free Extend Spell is really good.

2. For feats and strategies, get stuff to be less fragile. Enemies will target your Fort a lot.

3. Otherwise, looks good.

Take Noble Scion (War) instead to gain charisma to initiative. This allows you to completely dump dex in exchange for a fairly low CMD (which can be gotten around easily enough on a full caster).

Depending on how much you want to rely on your animal companion, I'd suggest a Wolf for Trip and Boon Companion for +3 levels. Tiger is really good though because of Grapple/Rake, but tigers are still CMB reliant so I'd still consider Boon Companion for a tiger (especially if you plan on Dipping at all). As for feats for your companion, improved/greater Trip for wolf, improved/greater Grapple for Tiger.

As far as healing is concerned, definitely consider getting Reach Spell. For +1, +2, or +3, you can increase the range of your Cure spells from Touch to Close, Medium, or Long Range. Now you won't have to travel down AoO Alley to get to one of your party members who gets into trouble. Another feat that might help is Preferred Spell, but only because it causes w/e Preferred Spell you cast to not increase the casting time. So if you're pumping Reach into your Cure spells and still want to be able to use a Move Action that round, this is pretty helpful. Heighten is a prerequisite for Preferred Spell, but this is handy for boosting your Save or Die DC's in the mid/late game.

Boon Companion does nothing for him unless he dips, which is inadvisable for a full caster.

Lunar Oracles get a full animal companion.

Reach spell sounds good and Improved/greater grapple for my tiger too, a tripper Wolf is also viable but the I honestly prefer the tiger.

Companion boon is also pointless as my pet has full level and I'm not gonna to MC at all, I don't want to delay my spells.

And no one has an opinion about celestial servant? I mean smite and rake looks like amazing nova damage.
I'll also take a look at noble scion as my initiative is the only thing that my already dumped DEX actually improves.

Warcat is marginally better then tiger but its close enough that either is fine. Having built in pounce + rake + grab is hard to beat since that means it can charge an enemy and attack it 5 times and if the enemy doesn't drop, the kitty can keep said enemy grappled. Either way your animal companion just removed an enemy from the fight.

Celestial Servant is good, it adds some additional defenses. The smite would be more compelling if it bypassed DR or it wasn't only once per day.

The important thing IMO is to raise your animal companion's intelligence ASAP. Once it has a 3 int its feat options open up dramatically. Improved Grapple and its follow up feats (including things like bushwhack), will certainly be useful. Just keep in mind that your animal companion will need to take either improved unarmed strike or dirty fighting in order to qualify. There are advantages to both, so you'll just need to figure out which makes the most sense based on the feats you want it to get.

As for your character. I would suggest looking at the Lycanthropy curse. This will allow you to directly communicate with your animal companion during combat (since weretigers are a thing). However, if you were planning on using lots of spells that are language dependent it won't be a good match. That being said I don't think buffs and heals typically fall into this category so it shouldn't cause problems.

Overall I think your strategy is fine. You would be a full caster with your own personal meatshield/attacker that doesn't have a large resource cost (in terms of feats) in order to be reasonably effective. You might consider taking feats like Animal Soul and Totem Beast as they'll be easy to grab.

I would look at doing something along these lines for an animal companion based on grappling. I will point out that Snapping turtle style may require some DM approval since by RAW most animal companions lack hands making the free hand requirement impossible to meet, meaning it may not be able to physically make use of the feat.
