Starship Miniatures

General Discussion

Any suggestions on where to find starship miniatures for ship combat on the hex grid?

I'm looking for:
1. Cheap starting packs (bulk; plastic is okay for starting)
2. Eventually, nice ships (singles; metal with hex stand)

I don't really like the Pawns. Yes, the artwork is very good and relatively inexpensive, but I'm a traditional "RPG miniature" person.

Space Cruisers-72 Pcs for $6.

You can also get them on Amazon.

Wayfinders

Micromachines, Wizkids discontinued Star Trek minis, Iron Wind Minis Battletech line of metal starship minis would all be good places to start.

Just a quick note about that link. Those models are pirated. The actual original sculpts were done for Metal Express: Silent Death and can still be purchased from them. Silent Death

If you buy those from the link your supporting those who stole those sculpts.

And the original molds and sculpts for those 12 ships were sold off when ICE went under....and they were sold to EM4 miniatures, who then had them made in plastic.

Look for posts from Black Widow Pilot, as he is the licence owner for Silent Death. He definately declares those particular 12 sculpts as OK.

I have someone I follow on Kickstarter who regularly produces some interesting ships.
