Index of monsters released in adventures / scenarios?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

Do you know of any convenient one-stop listing of every stat block that doesn't come from the Bestiary (or the Bestiary 2 once that's released)?

That is, a way to not have to go through every single scenario or module* to find additional monsters and NPCs that isn't in the Bestiary?
*Official modules from Paizo or PFS

For instance, say I'm interesting in finding out if there's official stats for any additional elemental critters besides the Mephits and Elementals of the Bestiary (to provide variety at any given level range). If there isn't a dozen adventures already there will be soon, so having a master index would be very useful and time-saving.

Many Thanks

PS. The listing doesn't need to contain the full stat block.
A reasonably explanatory reference (such as "Hallod, level 3 town bully, Plaguestone page 21") would suffice.

Check here and go to 'Sources'. That goes per source one at a time, but it'll do in a pinch.

It does leave out creatures from the adventures themselves (rather than supplementary material), but it's still a good starting place.

Thank you!

What you'd do is open that Source tab, then CTRL-click Bestiary (to select every source but the Bestiary), and then search (after selecting any other criteria, of course).

I just did such a search for elementals. The search returned zero hits, telling me there are no new elemental stat blocks out yet.

If nothing else, this saves me the time spent looking for something that simply isn't there.

I'm sorry but I don't understand.

If I select Pathfinder 146 Cult of Cinders will it or won't it give me the unique stat blocks from that scenario?

(If the answer is no, why even have sources??)

Because each adventure path installment has a short bestiary and that's what the site references.

Okay, that's disappointing.

Taking Fall of Plaguestone as an example, the text contains very many stat blocks, many more than you probably expect:

Spoiler:
Mangy Wolves, Caustic Wolf, Drunken Farmer, Bee Swarm, Giant Lightning Serpent, Hallod (the Town Bully), Mutant Wolves, Stone Horse, Icy Rats, Fiery Leopard, Orc Alchemists, the Sculptor, Lord Nar, Graytusk, Alchemical Drudges, the Amalgam, the Behemoth, and Vilree the Alchemist.

That's eighteen (!) stat blocks. In one product.

So allow me to ask again:

Do you know of any index of every published PF2 stat block? :-)

Best regards

No.

I just searched at that link for monsters published in the available Age Of Ashes products. Came up with a list of "45 of a possible 462" monsters found. Doesn't seem to have specific named monsters or NPCs though.

You would think it would be there but for Plague it only gets a few, no named monsters, no monsters from within the adventure text. These are only the ones in the adventure toolbox at the end.

That is the only place it could be because any other SRD site lacks the Pathfinder license, OGL does not allow use of named things.

I suspect if you drop them a note, they have been busy at updating the site and probably just need to know not all the adventures are inclusive in their end bestiary and they need to pull them from the adventure text.

I'm pretty sure I broke no laws enumerating the stat blocks from Plaguestone just above, and that is all I am asking for - an index of stat blocks from non-Bestiary products.

I am specifically not asking for the full stat blocks. I am fully prepared to look up the individual modules to read the full stats.

I just want to know what (official) stat blocks are out there.

In fact, I believe a complete listing of this sort would be very useful and very welcome for many GMs :-)

But it would be helpful if you had spoilered it.

This isn't something that we've got the time to generate in house, really, but it does seem like a great thing for folks to build (using spoiler tags, of course) as references as posts here in the appropriate product thread, I suppose. But yeah, please avoid simply copy-pasting entire stat blocks into threads.

Any update on this?

That is, are you aware on any fan creating an index of new stat blocks as they appear in supplements?

Putting a (spoiler tagged) listing in each product discussion thread would help, but it sounds like Zapp is asking for a single source for all the monsters. I suppose it would be relatively easy once each product has a listing to make a post (here for example) linking each of the product discussion posts. Wouldn't be very easily searchable though.

Dark Archive

easytool references the source.

Use http://www.pf2.easytool.es/tree/ and set the filter to the book/scenario you want or just deselect the books you dont want then save and click on the creatures menu.

Only covers the major modules. Fall of Plaguestone and Age of Ashes at present, and the lost omens character guide.

Its kinda pity in case of stuff like that type of inevitable that only appears in one high level pathfinder society scenario and several starfinder scenario demons. If they never get compiled to a bestiary, they are going to be forgotten whenever paizo releases lore book discussing all currently existing types.

Thank you for the suggestion. However, somebody PLEASE tell the developer the web interface is clunky as hell. You can't get an overview of creatures - they're all hidden behind each initial letter. A nightmare of clicks, when it would be so easy to create lists hyperlinked to the existing description pages. Such as a quick way to ask "get me all new Undead added in adventure modules" or "level 6-7 monsters not in the Bestiary".

PS. Just a reminder: I did not ask for complete stat blocks. I do not condone complete stat blocks. I would have been fine with just the INDEX (name, creature type, level and source reference).

Hover your mouse over next to the dragon icon next to Creatures, and click the icon that appears next to it. You can then organize them via Level, Creature name, or Creature Family name. So you can quickly find Level 6-7 Creatures, or anyone under the Undead Family name.
