So as we reach the last 10 days of October, have we heard any update on when the errata will post and when the APG Playtest begin?

End of this month.

Yeah, last Pathfinder Friday stream on Twitch teased that Errata is getting close (though really not before next Friday).

Aye I be impatient too brotha.

Pretty sure all we know is that the APG playtest is planned to launch "late October", and that the first round of errata is supposed to be out before then.

No need to scream. It only makes you look bad.

No need to shout. They said it’d be late October, so I wouldn’t worry until Halloween. Right after the weekend is also the time there’s least likely to be new info.

I used all caps for the subject to draw attention to the post and to display my excitement. Not really meant to mean shouting.

Well isn't shouting exactly used for drawing attention?

Let's lay off, it's possible the OP didn't realize this. I realize it's common and all, but I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt here. The post itself was pretty respectful.

@Prince Setehrael: Basically, don't use all caps. It's the internet equivalent of shouting and typically implies anger. Beyond this, it's probably bad form to try to draw attention to your post specifically. We all come on here with questions, so just ask and if enough people are curious your post will stay towards the top and likely be answered.

Note: I also asked for a timeline a month ago and Jason Bulmahn eventually came on to give an update, so the devs will see things and you don't need to draw extra attention.

Thank you. I shall remember that next. I don't post often.

It happens to all of us. Please take the replies as good humored ribbing, as most of them are just that.

Someone asked about an ETA on errata and the APG playtest in Friday's Twitch stream and the response from OfficialPaizo was to stay tuned next Friday.

Take from that what you will...

Asa random amusing sidenote.
ALL CAPS REMINDS ME OF SNES/GENESIS GAMES WHERE YOU COULD ONLY INPUT YOUR OWN CHARACTER NAMES IN CAPITAL LETTERS.
So random sentences like "ZAZZ I'm glad you're here" and "You have saved our kingdom ZAZZ we owe you a great debt of gratitude"

it makes me laugh

You actually missed some modifiers there...

Date of Release? (Schedule slippage, staff illness, mandatory staff meetings, OrgPlay liasion meeting, spiritual retreat day -- Halloween): 2d7 + 1 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 3 + 21 ⇒ (3, 2) + 1 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 3 + 21 = 42

So it looks like the end of November... :>

What if we want to dress up as a new class for Halloween?

One reason I am most excited for it is because the Witch is my favorite class, and since 2E has the class symbols now I want to get the Witch symbol as a tattoo.

Heya folks...

So, we are working on the classes and the errata right NOW (see I can use caps too).

I am hoping to get the errata out ASAP, but I doubt it will be will be this week with the load on the editing department.

As for the playtest...

It looks like we are going to miss the end of October Deadline.. but just by a little. I will give you all a firm date when we have it.

This is on me folks... I am trying to ensure that we get these things right and that is taking a bit more time than we expected. I would have let you know sooner, but I just had to change the schedule in this mornings coordination meeting, so you are getting the news as soon as I had it.

Thanks for understanding. We will get you more info very soon.

I, for one, appreciate that you are getting them as good as can be before you show them to the outside world to be instantly attacked and torn apart by haters despite how well-designed I'm absolutely sure they already are. :-D

I really REALLY look forward to seeing them, hopefully in like... the FIRST week of November. Right? First week? Right? :)

Thank you for the update, I understand the scheduling issues and I agree that we would rather have a fully planned and prepared playtest. Also excited for the next season of Knights of Everflame.

Thank you again for all your hard work.

My most abject apologies for my impatience and the use of Caps.

It's going to be my first tattoo. I want to get it on my right shoulder. I also want to the Warlock symbol from D&D on my left shoulder.

Bah, kids these days.

In my day, caplock was cruise control for cool.

Of course, some people would forget that even with cruise control you still need to steer.

Why yes I am only posting in this thread because I am a barely contained ball of excitement and this helps keep me sane, why do you ask? :P

Seriously, just make an errata page on your website and update it every week. There's absolutely no good reason to make us wait so long. It's 2019, not 1989.

I fail to see how mentioning the current year has anything to do with how a company operates.

You mean like a FAQ page and FAQ Fridays? Like what they had implemented previously when time allowed?

I think it's so people don't say "Did you see the PF2 errata? We'll be using it in the next game!" and the reply is "Which version? I have version 1.0, but I heard the latest is 2.7 already, and 3.0 is coming next week…"

Back in my day, capslock was how you opened the capsule you were trapped inside to escape to the post-apocalyptic world above.

Jason,

Given the modifiers I added to the roll, which was somewhat tongue-in-cheek, I was figuring on late November, so any point before that is cool.

Thank you for responding and giving us a head's up, and though you didn't have to, owning the desire to have a good product ready for playtest.

Looking forward to seeing what erupts from the creative processes on this item!

Because rpgs are complex and confusing people with rapid errata is a dumb move.

Waiting and catching more is a better option in this case.

Also, it isn't like the people who would be writing it aren't doing other things.

I don't mind waiting until November on the playtest. I would rather it be down right. I am looking forward to the errata along with some other PFS2 related things that would be nice to get nailed down.
