What happens to the Damage on a shield after a scenario. Does it automatically get fixed or do players have to spend downtime to repair it?

Assuming you're referring to starship Shield Points, the shields regenerate over time out of combat. The exact rate depends on the shields and is listed with its stats (page 302 of the Core Rulebook).

Pathfinder Second Edition, not Starfinder

Ha ha, sorry! I totally thought that was in the SFS discussion section. And noticed just to late to edit.

I don't think you need to spend your downtime to repair your Shield, since the action doesn't take very long. It's a good question, though.

It won't happen automatically, you'll need to repair it somehow.

Had this come up once. I just had them make the repair checks prior to rolling for downtime. It takes 10 minutes in exploration mode to make repairs.

How much does it *cost*?

Well, if you do it yourself. It will cost 2 gp for the repair kit. And then nothing else.

If you want some one to cast mending. It will be 7gp per table 6-15. However, it only works on non-magical objects.

If you wish to hire someone to do so. It would be 5 sp/day. And he would make the craft check at a +4. This is from the CRB pg 294.

Or you could just purchase a hireling with you fame, and keep upgrading so it will always be an option. Those fame prices are in the guide. But I think it goes 2, 4, 6, and then 8.

"Negative Effects
The Pathfinder Society has resources to take care of its members, and many of the possible negative effects an adventurer can be subject to during an adventure are assumed to be taken care of during Downtime. The exceptions to this are death, permanent petrification or polymorph effects, curses, and permanent negative conditions (Core Rulebook 618–623) acquired during the course of the adventure. "

Shield (and other equipment) Damage is not one of the listed exceptions. The Pathfinder Society lodge helps you fix up your gear, courtesy of Fola Barun and the Envoy's Alliance.

I am sticking with this until some one in charge tells me otherwise.

You only need the 6 fame one if you want them to have a skill feat.

Honestly, consider that bashing out a shield is pretty close to free I can very much live with that for the time being.

The time to fill out chronicle sheets has increased a bit recently and I am in favor of cutting out any unnecessary after mission paperwork or checks.

I must of missed this. Thanks for pointing it out. Will do this going forward.
