The issue seems to have started about the same time that posts started "disappearing". For example, if I see that a thread has a new post, I sometimes have to refresh that page several times to make the new post appear.
This thread is showing 100 posts on the front page of the forums, and 100 posts at the bottom of the thread

No matter how much I page refresh, that post doesn't show up. It should be post #101 and should flip to the 3rd page.
This reminds me of a website problem from several years ago, where the next page wouldn't show up until 2 or more new posts had been added.

This is the second or third thread on this issue (link), but it sounds like it's getting worse somehow. Or perhaps it's unrelated, though it sure sounds like it might be.
Sure would be nice to have some idea on a fix.

I have no such expectations.
I'm using this thread to present as much data as I can so that the team trying to fix this has the best information to find this bug.
For me, it's a mild annoyance, nothing more. For them, it must be frustrating.
I really expect that they'll find it and fix it as soon as they can. I recognize that there are likely to be much more critical bugs, and I'm not worried that they've got their priorities wrong or are ignoring this.
In the meantime, I'm taking screenshots and posting symptoms in case any of that gives them some clue where to look in the code.
